Eric's sidekick Pam on "True Blood" is getting a promotion

Thank you sweet baby Jesus! Final-fucking-ly! Fuck. Yes. Moar Pam, bitches! There are tears in my eyes! I hate you for making me wait for so long for this glorious moment Allan Ball - seriously this fierce vampire bitch was criminally underused in the second season - but I love you for finally making it happen!

Thank god that when the second season of Legend of the Seeker ends, I will have a badass, snarky blonde series regular to fill the void Cara no longer being on my television screen every week will leave.

I know ya'll have missed her, so this post will contain MEGAN 'MOUNTIAN OX' FOX!!!

It's even hotter if you think of it as a Mord'Sith recruitment video.

The Moth Diaries
Based on this: The book is told through the diary of a young teen girl in a private school who is obsessed with her classmate Lucy, and Lucy's possible vampire roommate Ernessa. And this: a female-centric vampire film. I will watch this movie and read the book! Plus, I think Lily Cole will make for a pretty awesome (possible) vampire.

And I think that's enough rambling for now!

Shit yeah!

(oh, and in case you were wondering, that's not KStew in the trailer even though that chick - who may or may not be Isabel Lucas - totally looks like her)

Oh, and in case you're interested in something completely boring and uninteresting, here are some naked pictures of Milla Jovovich... )

This is what it's about:  On the surface, Saya is a stunning 16-year-old, but that youthful exterior hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old “halfling.” Born to a human father and a vampire mother, she has for centuries been a loner obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood like those she hunts. When she is sent onto an American military base in Tokyo by the clandestine organization she works for, Saya immediately senses that this may be her opportunity to finally destroy Onigen, the evil patriarch of all vampires. Using her superhman strength and her sword, she begins to rid the base of its evil infestation in a series of spectacular and elaborate showdowns. However, it is not until she forms her first human friendship in centuries with the young daughter of the base’s general that Saya learns of her greatest power over Onigen may well be her ability for human connection…

Apology:  This story was written in a rather inebriated state, so I hope that it makes sense.

"Twilight" ramblings ... *hangs head*  I can't believe I just wrote that.
So it makes absolutely no sense that I'm following the production of this movie considering I haven't been able to finish reading the first book yet (if I have to read about Edward's "topaz eyes" or about how he "dazzles" Bella one more time I'm going stab somebody ... hard ... and someplace vital!), but I am following it for some masochistic reason.

Okay, that reason is my vampire fetish and probably more so Robert Pattinson's pretty since I had no desire to read the books before he was cast even though I knew they were about vampires.

In any event ... Here be the Cullens )

Thoughts:

-  Robert looks delicious.  As usual.

-  Why, why, why does Hollywood insist on casting very good-looking brunette actors/actresses to play blondes?  I'm sorry, there are very few people who can rock all shades of hair and look good with them all.  Not everyone can be Rachel McAdams, ya'll!

If you hire a brunette because they're the best actor for the role just leave them brunette.  Peter Facinelli was not made to be blond (though he probably pulls the look off the best of the three).  Ditto for Nikki Reed, and for Jackson Rathbone (the other bottled blond in the pictures).  They are all stunning brunette's and weird looking blonds.

- Why is everyone in bulky jackets except for Elizabeth Reaser and Robert?  It's because they're the sexiest, isn't it?  I wish I was so hot that the elements had no effect on me.

- So, yeah that 's pretty much it for thoughts since I haven't finished the first book and can't really make any meaningful comments on the casting (and really, I'm okay with that).

*sigh*

I really hope they start casting for the A Great and Terrible Beauty movie soon, so that I can start obsessing about that, since I actually like those books.

Title: Temptation
Author: Janine
Fandom: Moonlight
Pairing: Beth/Lola
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I don’t own them.
Warnings: hot vampire sex,  bloodplay
Summary: Beth gives into temptation, just like Lola knew she would.
Notes: Fic makes reference to episode 1x06 “B.C”. And mad props to Holly Valance for being so fine, and for bringing the femslash like a superstar just like she always does.

Moonlight was actually pretty decent. Changing half of the cast and getting some new creative power behind it definitely helped, because that was pretty enjoyable, and not at all train wreck like, which was the impression given off by the trailer with the original cast.

Alex O'Laughlin is better looking in motion. He also displayed more humor than I was anticipating which definitely helped.

Sophia Myles is, well, she's Sophia Myles so of course she was luminous and awesome. *nods* I like this Beth Turner character. She had to potential to be rather irritating, and I think the fact that she wasn't was mostly due to Sophia Myles, so kudos.

Moar Coraline! NOW! Shannyn Sossamon rocked as Coraline. Yes, okay she was hardly in it and spoke like two lines or whatever, but I loved her from the moment I saw her hovering in the corner of the room in that angelic white outfit, somehow managing to look ethereal and demonic at the same time. Plus, the vamp fight was wicked. Coraline fighting is hot stuff. And with the kidnapping of young Beth, I can already see the potential for twisted femslash when they inevitably meet up again.

Like Josef in theory, I enjoy his paranoia and how he has nicely dressed walking bloodbags around at all times, but all I could think was "Logan Echols in suit" the whole time. I think part of the problem is that Jason Dohring has some very distinctive mannerisms that I've come to associate with Logan so it was kind of distracting. I'll get over it though.

*is looking forward to the next episode*

OMG! I just saw the 30 Days of Night trailer and it looks amazing!

As a fan of the graphic novel it looks like they've captured the atmosphere of the novel - dark, desolate, and completely alone - perfectly. The vampires themselves are scary and otherworldly looking, which is a way of saying genuinely creepy instead of the sexy, well-dressed vampires that we mostly see in film today. And honestly, the music at the end of the trailer is just kickass and good music in a trailer can totally hook me.

Plus, there's plenty of pretty with Josh Hartnett and Melissa George starring.

Yeah, so I'm probably like one of five people who's actually seen Rise: The Blood Hunter, and I have no idea if anyone will even care about this fic, but the idea of Lucy Liu and Carla Gugino as vampire lovers was too much for me to pass up, so ...

Title: Complimentary Dishes
Author: Janine
Fandom: Rise: The Blood Hunter
Pairing: Sadie/Eve
Rating: R
Disclaimer: I don’t own them.
Summary: AU, Sadie’s plan for revenge hits a snag when she comes face to face with the woman who made her what she is.

'You put your mouth to it and drank from me … of me,' she went on softly, her voice sounding almost awed. 'You were so beautiful in your desperation. You broke my heart, Sadie. I had no real conception of you as a person before that,' she admitted, 'but once we shared that,' Eve breathed in deeply and bit her lip, 'intimacy, everything changed.' )

So, I just got back from seeing Rise: The Blood Hunter and it was a hot mess. I'm not really sure how it got released in theaters because everything about it screamed 'straight to DVD'. That being said, it fell into that 5ive Girls category of so bad it's really, really entertaining.

Commentary ... Beware the spoilers! )

Overall, I have to say that I was mostly entertained and there were a lot of muttered comments and laughs watching this. Most of the laughs were unintentional due to the awfulness of just about everything about the film, but in it's utter terribleness there was some beauty.

So, yeah if you like 'so bad they loop around to being good' movies, then you'd probably enjoy this. I'd wait for the DVD to come out though (which will probably be in like two weeks since it's probably going to be yanked from theaters like Monday) so that you can laugh, and point and mock as loudly as you want.

Just got back from 28 Weeks Later.

Some thoughts:

1. Rose Byrne is so pretty. Seriously, I could stare at her soulful, intelligent eyes, strong profile and kissable lips for hours and be perfectly entertained. It'd almost be worth it to be chased by zombies if it meant that she would stand very close to me and whisper comforting words to me before giving me a full body hug. I mean there was one shot where she was just like sitting staring at a computer screen, before she turned her head a little and looked out a window and I was like *SWOON* Cause Rose Byrne is hot like that.

2. Imogen Poots (Tammy) has an unfortunate name, but is one of the most stunning people I've seen in a long time. She has some crazy gorgeous eyes. And they kept on giving us full screen face shots of her and all I could think is "this girl should be a model". Sometimes it was like watching a perfume ad or something because even covered in blood and grime she was so ridiculously luminous. In about three years, when she's an age range that's more comfortable for me, I'll comment on her kissable lips (see: Rose Byrne above)

A few more spoilerific comments on the movie )

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't as awesome as the first one, but I thought that it was a decent film. It kept me entertained, there were some really moving scenes, and the cast was very pretty.

Also, I got to see a Rise: Blood Hunter trailer before it, which ruled. Lucy Liu... with my girl, Drew... Cameron D. and Destiny Charlie's Angels, Come on ... oh wait, no none of them except Lucy Liu ... with a short bow, and a blonde Carla Gugino, and vampires, and TOTALLY AWESOME! Well, probably not, but it's totally awesome to me anyway.

Plot: Set during the 1960s in an alternate New Zealand known as Nuovo Zelandia, PERFECT CREATURE imagines a world where vampires and humans peacefully co-exist, with the bloodsuckers as the next step in human evolution. This delicate balance looks to be destroyed when an influenza epidemic begins to sweep the human population and one vampire turns to preying on humans. The church sends out Silus (Dougray Scott) to catch the renegade vampire, Edgar. Silus joins forces with a human police captain (Saffron Burrows), and discovers that Edgar harbors dark secrets.

'Perfect Creature' trailer behind cut )

So, yeah, I pretty much need to see this as soon as humanly possibly.

Also, Saffron Burrows is the still the most awesome bi actress ever (don't look at me like that Kristanna! Saffron is taller than you, British and is dating a woman!)

So this movie is coming out next week ... how did I not hear about it until today? How? Huh, world? Answer me!

Anyway, it's like got all of my movie weakness rolled in to one. I WILL be seeing this, it's not possible for me not to.

And I will buy the book, because I'm obsessive like that.

Only thing that would make it better is Kristanna Loken as the werewolf princess. Then again, even without super werewolf powers she looks like she could eat Hugh Dancy for breakfast so they would probably have had to recast him to, even if he is real purty.

Hot times in the city.

Another Khase fic, I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It feels kind of half developed to me but I've been playing around with it since the episode aired weeks ago and keep on ending up with what I had then. I loved the idea of it but for some reason I couldn't quite get my sea legs with it. Anyway I figured there was no point in letting it gather dust (so to speak) on my hard drive so here it is.
