but I love Michelle Forbes, *or shall I say Ensign Roe...cuz that's who she'll always be to me*
lol, I know. I totally still routinely call her Engsign Ro. Especially for sci-fi fans that will always be her definitive thing. I've seen her tons of other stuff and loved her in everything, but it also comes back to Ro Laren.
Imagine my surprise when Stephanie Chaves-Jacobsen walked onto my screen!! *swoons* The woman is a banger fo' sho'.
I know, I was pleasantly surprised by her hotness as well. Even crazy as hell I always found Cain hella hot, so I totally was looking forward to ogling Michelle Forbes for 2 hrs, but getting to ogling Shaw too was a very nice surprise (and getting to watch Shaw ogle Cain even nicer).
I preferred the original Pegasus crew and found them a lot more interesting, a lot more grayer.
Yeah, I was actually kind of annoyed by how much Galactica we got in the movie. I was really expecting it to be like 90% about the Pegasus, and I thought the whole point of it was that people found the Pegasus crew so interesting that they wanted more and this was supposed to be the more, and I felt kind of shafted by lack of Pegasus and Cain in this.
I wish they did a little more w/ Cain, instead of pretty much portraying her as a "woman scorned, see her fury" cliche. She was a lot more complex than that and I think that was what we were suppose to see that through Kendra's eyes.
Yeah, with Cain we were pretty much just shown stuff that they said she did in the second season. And yeah, okay, fine, but I was hoping to understand WHY she felt compelled to make these decisions instead of just seeing her decisions being carried out. And "the woman scorned" angle to explain everything was really, really weak. Made weaker by the fact that Gina and Cain didn't even have a one on one scene together to really show what their relationship was like. I mean, even one scene of like Cain being vulnerable in front of Gina and sharing her concerns while Gina comforted her would have made the "Gina is a cylon" reveal so much more effective. As it is, I think I have a better understanding of Cain then I did from the second season, but there's still a lot of questions left unanswered.
especially because we got to see those great close ups of Stephanie's gorgeous face. *grins*
Yeah, those were definitely appreciated *high fives the director*
