Yay for impending monogamy. Still I like that Alice takes responsibility for her bad decisions and does feel genuine regret for hurting the man she loved for sixty years. In a lot of femslash fics, the canon guys are kind of written off pretty fast and you did a pretty good job of easing it. Nice work. Love the story.
