Echo's childlike behavior was so endearing. And poor Claire, she's so lonely.

Echo really is terribly endearing. It's just impossible not to fall in love with her. She's so sweet. And with Claire being as lonely as she is, it's no surprise that she's so drawn to Echo. Echo is safe. Echo is someone she knows won't hurt. Echo couldn't hurt her. And Echo cares.
