This. It's like she clearly has problems with the way the company is run, but she just goes along with everything without doing more than very softly voicing concerns, like she's programmed to follow orders even though consciously she disagrees with them.
Can't figure out why Boyd is staying though. Other than out of a feeling of wanting to protect Echo and maybe looking for a way to bring things down from the inside.
And it makes sense that a place that deals in the wiping/creation of memories would do the same to its employees.
Totes. I can't help but feel like the 5 year contract thing was just a lie to get people to sign. I mean, with their memories gone, none of them REMEMBER they signed a contract, and none of them TOLD anyone about joining the Dollhouse, so why would the company let them go?
They could keep imprinting them forever and the Active would never remember about the contract. Financially, it just seems kind of ridiculous to let them go and risk exposure when they don't have to. Morally they should, but they don't seem to be that concerned with morals.
