I don't know, I'd say that Echo is the one with the hardened thought paths since she seems to resist her programming more than the others.
But they're always going on about how good Echo is (I assume at taking on these new personalities). I get the impression that she has strong ideals, but no clear means of reaching them. I'm trying to think of a good metaphor for how I see it... but there's a reason you're the writer out of the two of us ;)
Given a problem she is constantly surprising them with the solution she comes up with. This isn't because she has a strong personal directive outside the programing that prompts her to constantly take a similar route due to her set behavior. It's because she's so open to all the different options available to her that she utilizes the programing in unforeseen ways.
Eliza has really strong physical mannerisms to there always seems to be a little Eliza in every personality
The other part of this is that they've always given her strong personalities. We haven't yet seen Echo transformed into very opposing personalities yet. They have all been relatively confident in themselves and outgoing... and so likely to have similar physical presence. I suppose we'll just have to see if this trend continues. I would assume that for the most part (as the star of the show and all) her character would be given quite outgoing personalities.
The stronger the original personality, the more aggressive the Doll fights to regain themselves
What I thought of Echo was that she wasn't doing this. She doesnt try to overwhelm the personality with what's left of her own, but absorbs everything they give her and adds it to what she was before. Each time after a task we see the blank slate... and each time it seems to have taken something from what they gave her that episode as a pose to regaining whatever she was. Taking all these fragments to create a new whole that's better than the original, rather than ending up with bits and pieces of something so battered by fighting against what they force in, it's unrecognizable.
