I'm really liking the slow unfurling of their relationship in this piece. I mean, I know at some point they'll get mowed down by runaway!angst, but I really like these calm-in-the-eye-of-the-storm moments for them.
BTW a small typo: “...But soon Rachel hadn’t been able to ignore the hunger that Rachel’s scent and the warmth of her body were creating. She had tried so hard to find some calm, but she’d been fighting a losing battle when Rachel had pulled away and given her some space."
I think you mean "...But soon Ivy hadn't been able..."
