saw it last friday and loved it. i went in with little spoilers except for Zach Quinto being Spock, Jennifer Morrison being Kirk's mom, Winona Ryder being part of the cast so i was constantly/pleasantly surprised.

didn't see the Spock/Uhura romance coming; loved it. Kirk didn't get the girl for a change lol. also saw why Zoe Saldana was on the Maxim list. i nearly laughed out loud when i saw Winona as Spock's mom but she wasn't half bad. Karl Urban is lovely as usual. always enjoy seeing him in a movie. seeing Leonard Nimoy was bloody awesome. had a Star Wars deja vu moment when Kirk hit his head entering the transport lol. Scotty's rock friend was cute; i just want to pet him. the people i went with were complaining about how they couldn't predict the sun going nova in the far future when they were so technologically advanced.

saw Cloverfield last night and was glad i didn't spend money seeing it in theatres.
