Tch. I have SGU on my dvr but have been putting off watching it because all the Stargate tv shows tend to bore me to death but I wanted to watch it for Ming Na since I love her. Now Rhona is making me dvr the series instead of just the first episode. I'll have to repress my Star Trek is better fangirl side and give Stargate an honest chance for once.

I feel you on this. I managed to make it through a few seasons of Atlantis, but they were a fight and I finally gave up.

This is my feeling as well. I'm also trying very hard not to compare it to BSG even though the show is totes trying to be like BSG. I'll enjoy it more if I expect it to be stupid.

u know you're right about the past Stargate shows--- i REALLY tried to 'get down' but i couldn't feel the funk. but i watched 1 episode of SGU & i've been hooked.
i'd been complainin' about the lack of gays on SyFy (dumb name totally) cause if you can't mess around w/ sexuality on the fucking Sci-Fi channel then where can you?!
then SGU came & now Rhona too... i'm in total nirvana right now!
