Alias Ramblings (4x20 "Descent" and 4x21 "Search and Rescue")

OMG!  There was just too much this episode.  This will no doubt consist of fangirl squeeing and comments about the extreme hotness of the spy family, but that cannot be helped.

First off, Mia looked totally H-O-T in the China flashback scenes.  I was so distracted by the hotness I have no idea what happened.  They need to have her in natural sunlight like 24 hours a day.  Glooooow-ing.

Also, Jack continued to crack my shit up this episode.  His "Weapons grade anthrax doesn't grow on trees," snark to Vaughn was too good,and then the beginning of his little "You are a huge GIT!" speech to Vaughn inspired much love.  *sweet sigh* Oh, Jack. Also, DIE FROWNER!

Also, I love how he made out with Fauxrina for like ten freaking hours before killing her.  And Lena was awesome in that scene.  Effing laughing with a bullet hole in her head as she slowly drowned.  Brilliant. 

Also, I loved Nadia's RobeFu.  HAUGHT!  And found it strange that Nadia was bathing in the middle night, so I fanwanked that with Sophia leaving she and Syd totally got it on to make up for lost time and that's why Syd was all sheepish about saying that she was in the shower.  SHUT UP, its my fanwank and I'm sticking to it!

Speaking of Nadia.  Man if ever there was a candidate for Worst.Week.Ever Nadia is it.  Holy crap this girl had a lot of shit thrown at her in these too episodes.  I knew it was all coming but I felt so bad for her finding out about Sophia and then Sloane, and then about Jack being the one that shot Irina.  I was really happy though that there was no angst between her and Syd over it, I was worried that it was going to be a 'birthday party' redux.  Awww, Nadia knows Syd really loves her and was only trying to protect her. Thought Mia did a really excellent job with all of the new, and conflicting emotions Nadia was going through.  Plus when she was all like "you better hope so too" to Jack about Irnina being alive after he admitted to shooting her, I was like "hhhh-oooo-tttt".  Work that teary eyed, rage filled threatening glare in your sexy black outfit.

And because I'm impatient and can't wait anymore ... IRINA IRINA IRINA

That Saddam-like hovel scene where Syd and Nadia first find her was soooo good.  Lena and Jen totally knocked it outta the park.  Irina's confusion, like she had dreamed Syd would come for her, but couldn't quite believe it.  The happiness when she touched her face and the tears, and the soft "I knew you'd come" AWWWWWWWWWWWW (a thousand puppy dogs with ice-cream on their noses couldn't be cuter)

And Nadia gazing at Irina in wonder (Nadia was totally stepping in for all of the ShallowViewer's out there like me.)

I have to breakup the Irina love to note though that the NadiaFu in the woods kicked so much ass it moved all the way around to kicked crotch!  That was some fun stuff.  Everytime I was yelling at Syd to go back for her, Nadia pulled some sweetass Xena move out and was like "booyah!".

The Plane Scene.  There are no words for how good that was.  The very beginning between Syd and Irina, I will admit it - there were tears in my eyes.  The hand holding and curled up in the seats AWWWWW.  And then Irina talking about what (Y)Elena had done to her.  Lena Olin, are you god?  Cause that was some awesome acting, so emtional.  And the Mia and Lena had a chance to whack that ball around a few minutes later.  Nadia's timid "I brought these" when Irina wanted to change, and Irina walking past her before turning around and staring at her and JUST KNOWING WHO NADIA WAS.  AWWWWWWW. The hug, and the "honey" (or was it "sweetheart", doesn't matter).  <breaks into song> I get so emotional baby!  Everytime I think of you </breaks into song>

Ahhhh, I can't process anymore.  This episode was too awesome.  There was so much more stuff, but I can't think clearly anymore. Except to note that JG 's delivery of "I like the French, they're tender" was one of the funniest and weirdly sexy  things I've heard.  Rough Syd is HOT (I guess she got plenty of practice in with Nadia)

Can't wait for next week's episode.  Irina in leather, emotional Syd/Nadia interaction including a "'Nadia' crying with arms outstretched'", the big red ball of inevitable doom, and apparently Nadia becomes a zombie (whaa?) but hey, at least she's trying to eat Sydney.
