Another season of les!yay anime! I heart Japan
So, some may have heard about this, other not, but this is the first news I've heard so I'm gonna squee like its my birthday...
Yumi and Sachiko 4 evah!
"The Japanese magazine Cobalt has announced that the Maria-sama ga Miteru 4th Season anime adaptation of its popular light novels has been greenlit. The story revolves around the student council of Lillian, an all-girls Catholic high school. An accompanying interview with voice actresses Kana Ueda (Yumi), Haruna Ikezawa (Yoshino), and Mamiko Noto (Shimako) indicates the creators' reluctance to say whether the fourth season will be televised (like the first two seasons) or released directly on video (like the third season). *weeps with happiness*
I was despairing at the idea of having the "best girlfriends ever" taken away from me, so the news that I'll have them for one more season makes me happy.
I'm torn about the format I want though. If it's televised it means more episodes, which is cool. But the DVD release OVAs have been so incredibly gay that I'm worried they might tone down the rampant lesbian text if it's being aired on TV instead of going straight to DVD.
Oh *flips ruffled skirt and flounces into chair* I just don't know what to hope for!

Of course, it's motherfucking Japan! They do what they want!
Why can't we do that with Drive or Blade?
You know, I never thought of that until you wrote it, but it's SO true. I mean the DVD season of Maria-sama was 5 hour long episodes, but I would totally buy mini-seasons of a show like Blade or Drive. It could actually be quite lucrative I'd think for studios and the actors would be able to work on other projects as well since it wouldn't be as huge a time commitment. *sobs and thinks about 5 episodes of Firefly a year I could have had but didn't get because we're not in Japan!*
Quick, someone tell Helena Bonham Carter and Naomi Watts to totally Clex up their scenes in the next Harry Potter movie.
*cries* the Naomi Watts rumor was debunked *sobs* Also, Helena Bonham Carter is pregnant now which gives me nightmares of Bellatrix holding wicker baskets in front of her stomach and standing behind watermelons for the HBP movie. *sigh* Japan wins again :(
Like, hair-stroking and sitting really close together and such.
Ohh, this reminds me of Stardust ... so North America/Great Britain is back in the game. Seriously, though I hope this happens. If it does I think I'll even be able to deal with the inevitable attempts to cover up the baby bump (and there better be attempts because if they edit Bella/Cissy out of HBP someone's getting cut!)
