If ODW was supposed to be the "putting the UST on hold" book then... I'm sorry, but what was happening in WWBC exactly? The making-all-da-men-uncomfortable with the touching, the mega heart to hearts, the aura sharing... still screams to me as typical ol' Rachel and Ivy. This is not stopping everyone from "yawning ho, hum" at the sexual tension. It's still there. It will always be there. It's just how their relationship works.
The only way to break sexual tension is to, well, break it. Ignoring it for a bit is not breaking. How does that even work? Book 12 (or whichever it may be) rolls along and Rachel suddenly snaps her fingers and says "Dude, Ivy, 'member how hot we were for each other half a dozen books ago? Yeah, let's talk about that." Strikes me as a tad contrived, you know?
