Two new pictures from Jennifer's Body. I really can't wait for this movie to come out! Also, Amanda Seyfried thugged out, might just be the most adorable thing ever.

I just watched both episodes of Warehouse 13 and despite myself I think I like it. I wasn't that impressed with the first 15-20 minutes of the pilot, but once Warehouse 13 itself made an appearance things picked up for me and I started to enjoy it. Then I went from barely being able to tolerate Myka, to kind of falling in love with her in all of her bitchy, stuck-up, good-girl/teacher's pet glory.

Also, it helps that Joanne Kelly (aka Myka) has a habit of looking at female characters (mostly Leena) like she wants to lick them like a popisicle. When Leena first showed up and Pete and Myka kind of looked at each other, I thought they were going to get into a fistfight over her. (Link to pilot episode, change the xx to tt)

Goddamn you, Summit Entertainment! Why did you have to realize a poster of Dakota Fanning as Jane where she looks kind of badass? When did you have to post this description of one of her scenes?
'Shall we, Jane?' With nary a peep, Fanning's eyes lit up. She turned her head towards Bella/Kristen Stewart, and gave a slight, cruel smile. In that miniscule movement I was sold on Fanning ... and her ability to convey unadulterated malice.

I can't help it! I kind of want to see Dakota Fanning convey unadulterated malice. *sigh*

This picture of Keira Knightely makes me want to do dirty things to her. I don't think it's a new pic, but I haven't seen it before and I consider that be a huge tragedy.

I watched Attack Girls Swim Team vs. The Undead and it has got to be one of the weirdest, most crack-tactular, most mish-mashed movies I've ever seen. It was like a live-action hentai movie or something. Mad scientists, zombie vampire creatures, orphans, lesbianism, hypnotism, training montage's, flute masturbation, vagina lasers, etc. I was like 'O.o' and 'lol' throughout the whole thing. I'll say this for it, it's one bad movie I've watched recently that actually did make me laugh out loud. Here's a link if you want to check it out (change the xx to tt).

Who is watching Kings? I am devastated that this show will be over soon! I love it so much. Susanna Thompson pwns me. If you want links let me know, I have the whole series and I want other people to watch it so that I have people to squee with. It is such a good show. And Rose Benjamin is one of the best Head Bitches In Charge that I've ever seen on screen. She makes me whimper with delight. *sobs at the thought of the last episode*

I am going to see HP tomorrow! I know I am so late to the party (I'm just trying into a crotchety old woman who didn't wan to deal with the lines). Prepare for an epic post once I do. I've seen positive mentions on my f-list, but I didn't read the posts because I didn't want to be spoiled, so I'm really excited to see it. So yeah, sometime tomorrow prepare for major squeeage.

I'm pretty sad about Kings...and two days ago I was apathetic about it ending. Then I watched the latest ep and...omg Rose.

I'm kinda meh on the whole lesbians thing on Stargate: U. It looks too much like TBTB wanting their cake and eating it too, ie, they get the progressive backslaps for having a gay character but put the gay character in a situation where she *won't* get any play (her girlfriend's back on earth). I would have been more impressed if the girlfriend was part of the main cast or, even more impressed, if they'd kept the Ming Na character single and made her the 'Kirk' of the group, ie, the one that bangs all the alien chicks. Not *that* would have been progressive!

Jennifer's Body - First off, someone at OhNoTheyDidnt posted a .gif of Megan lighting her tongue on fire in the comments. Second, if you follow the source and go to Bloody Disgusting.com, there's even *more* pictures. God, I can't wait for this movie to come out.. and write lots of fic about.

The Stargate relationship will be long distance one so we shall see. Usually Stargate emphasizes very little, if at all, the relationships. I'm warily optimistic tho.

Kings? Honestly: meh. Good actors, a nice idea and a good execution but seems like they tried to take a bite too large. It had a bit of everything. But in the end: through its diversity it didn't have enough focus IMO.

Warehouse 13. Safe and slightly anesthetic programming. It doesn't seem to have very high aspirations when it comes to actual science fiction (but then again, what TV series except The Outer Limits (and some few others (ok I almost forgot X-files)) has ever had). I'm glad that there's still some actual acting muscle in the show. Saul Rubinek and CCH Pounder both kept me entertained. The two leading actors are both just pretty faces so far. I'll hold my judgement until I see a couple more episodes. I'm quite happy of the steampunk-ish tech they use in the series, but not so much on the constant name dropping. Tesla this and Edison that. Yes, right. Because the field of science is in total 10 people on earth, ever. Interesting premise and ok-ish production values, but it still feels like a regurgitation of all older similar series. It kinda fun to just turn my brain off and gloriously, absolutely waste time watching this. Jane Espenson is a veteran in the field so I'm sure it can't be all that bad. It feels a lot like Eureka, of which I watched some of the first season and in the second, just got bored to tears.

Also in In Plain Sight ep 2.13 "Let's get it Ahn" Sherilyn Fenn and Kelly Hu will play lesbians, according to imdb.com. Interesting.

You never fail to give me things to drool over. Many things, really. Though, I think I'll wait for you to watch New Moon and say whether or not it's worth it :P

I haven't watched any Kings, but now I want to. My aunt works at CBS. When I visited her last summer, she showed me around the special effects department and I actually got to see some of their work on the show. I'm guessing they just canceled it after one season? =/

Anyways, I watched Attack Girls Swim Team vs. The Undead and it broke me a little inside.The biggest example of this was...yanno halfway through the movie, just after the completely out of the blue sex scene when she just like...pulls out a guitar: "Can i call you big sister?"

I was all: "Whaaa'?!" And got the weirdest look from my girlfriend when I put both palms on my forehead and moaned: "I DON'T UNDERSTAND!". The rest of the movie got luls aplenty...that bit just...just... *whine*

Feel glad, that damned film was enough to pull me out of my lurkerdom.

So I barely followed Dollhouse throughout the whole season, but w/ your rec I dl and watched the unaired episode. With that said...

WHY ARE THE UNAIRED BITS ALWAYS THE BEST BITS?

Amy Acker as Dr Saunders/Whiskey was absolutely inspiring, esp when Boyd was leaving. Not only that, but I hadn't really paid that much attention to Fran as Topher, but his meltdown and Adele consoling him was just omgahgood.

This was so good, and made me wonder why they never show the ending episodes of Joss's shows (and by never I mean Firefly, lol)

Dude! I finally watched this!!

For about 45 minutes, this was like the GREATEST MOVIE EVER!! There was Sakaya hitting on Aki like a tsunami and I was all 'wow, this is like some crazy ass subtext'. Then.. they kept going there.. and going there.. and then they *really* went there. The movie should honestly be retitled 'Japanese Schoolgirl Fetish Porn'.. without the actual porn! All that was missing was a scene where the swim team's in the pool and they get attacked by tentacles. But then..

The other half of the movie happened. And what started out as a fun, cool horror-comedy turned into something really, *really* creepy to an uncomfortable degree. Which is a shame really because if had continued being a teen-aged lesbian love story during a zombie apocalypse it would have only been the GREATEST MOVIE EVER!! Now, I'll rec it but only with warnings that it unfortunately turns to sexist and creepy crap.

Kings was really a great show, but in a way I'm glad it ended where it did, because it was getting pretty depressing there and it didn't look like that was going to change any time soon. (Plus I mainly watched for Ian MacShane and I didn't like the direction his character was taking.)
