Lost Girl - 2x11 - Can’t See The Fae-Rest

Okay, first of all these ‘fae’ titles are getting ridiculous.  I don’t even know what the hell this one means.

Moving on … I enjoyed the hell out of this episode as well, and I am thrilled that I get to keep typing that week after week.

THOUGHTS

This episode has really and truly made me want to see Bo and Ciara tenderly get it on at some point.  Like at first I was just whispering, “Kiss, kiss” at the screen becaus Ciara was so eager to please/impress Bo that I couldn’t not go there.  But then … then … then they like actually have genuinely affectionate feelings for each other and need each other and have each other’s best interest at heart.  And now I want them to be romantic friends!  Ciara’s old and English so she’d probably be like, “Yes, this is what good friends do together” and Bo’s already acknowledged that Ciara makes her pants happy.  I just want them to be able to get it on without guilt or commitment to each other beyond remaining kickass friends (who do each other).

Bo’s approach to questioning suspects lacks ALL subtlety.  She’s such a bad private eye, but because Bo and I are friends again now, I find her ineptness sweet and cute instead of irritating like I did last season.

LAUREN, YOU BETTA CHECK YO’SELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YO’SELF!  Did you really think pulling a “I’m having personal problems” would be a good idea with the Ash?  He’s not your therapist, Lauren!  Pull yourself together.

And you didn’t listen to me Lauren and now you have lost your shit!  Goddamn, when Lauren Lew has a breakdown she fucking throws shit to the ground!  Nervous breakdown like a boss!  As a Lauren fan, I feel like the next few episodes are gonna be hard to watch, because I think the show is gonna have her fall a little further/lose her shit more before she begins to pull herself together.

I already commented on Bo and Ciara, but I will reiterate how much I love the fact that the show went there and really gave Bo a crush on Ciara.  This show makes my femslashy heart happy.  Bo is like all my internet lezza’s … she sees a hot (british) chick and is like, “She could get it.”  LOL.  Watching Rizzoli & Isles with Bo would be really fun, ya’ll.

I can’t hear the words, “I have a theory” without expecting people to burst into song.  I was honestly anticipating a musical number for a couple seconds after Lauren said it.  And now that I’ve typed that … I’m kind of awaiting a Lost Girl musical episode.  If Sanctuary can do it (albeit poorly) Lost Girl totally can.

Damn, and now I feel like I’m watching The Doctor in the Iron Mask!  After a couple days in that cell Hot Pants is gonna be Dirty Pants.  Throw it to the ground?  Nah, son.  Lauren’s gonna have to throw it in the wash!

Also, seriously, Lost Girl and I are friends again.  But show, show, you cannot have Bo, righteously utter things like, “She murdered human’s.  She needs to pay for it in some way.”  When just last week your episode was about Bo having murdered a human, and all of her friends getting together to cover it up so that she wouldn’t have to pay.  It wasn’t just Kyle!  We remember show, so just cool it, okay?

POOR LAUREN. Ash...sigh. No idea what he's up to.

Dirty hotpants sounds kinda hot though - maybe when Bo rescues her, she has to wash all of her clothes and then Doccubus sex will happen all over the washing machine

Next episode is entitled Masks and you can see Zoie's face doing the most adorable expression!! (She's also in a dress on Bo's couch...*coughs*)

Glad to see it's another good episode. That Ash is turning out to be preeetty evil there. Can't wait to find out what his deal is. Poor Dr. Hot Pants, I hope she isn't locked up in there too long! Also, to shed some light on the title for you it's from the old expression can't see the forest (for the trees). Is it bad that I actually can't get enough of the corny pun titles?

That split second before Lauren threw down her shit - right when she pulled the rage face - I was just like "Oh shit, this is going to end badly." But I'm impressed that she finally cracked and basically spat in the bastard's face, even if it did have horrible consequences.

I'm so glad they didn't do the usual and have Ciara be a bitch or something. I like the idea of her and Bo as friends and not competing over the mighty Dyson (who didn't bug me this episode - yeah, an apocalypse any day now).

I'm happy that Lauren finally rebelled and ripped off the damn necklace, but boy is that gonna come back and bite her. The Ash storyline is looking very promising and I love that Lauren is now at the heart of it.

You're so right about the 'killed humans' line... we never forget, even if they do.
