If Loving SoN is wrong, I Don't want to be Right!

So I just finished watching the penulimate episode of "South of Nowhere" and I have no words to express how much I love this show! Where's the dollar bill, cause I need some more of this crack.



So that opening scene in the bathroom was perfection. Ah, lip gloss flirting, who knew you could be so satisfying? Plus, it allowed Mandy Musgrave to deliver at line that was of equal hotness to those jeans she was wearing last week, "Trust me, it [if they kiss] won't be spontaneous" ... and *swoon*

Also, Madison and Mini-Madison (who I will forever love because of her "Madison your face! Your face!" last week when Maddy and Ashley were fighting) are hilarious. They're complete bitches (esp. Madison) but they're so funny. I mean Madison is no early 'Buffy' Cordelia Chase, but she's aiming for that and you gotta love her for it.

Also, Spencer got one of the best lines. To Glen, "Before I answer that I just want to say that you suck!" Hee. How many times have I wanted to say this Glen? Oh, they are too numerous to count. But it's nice to know the writers are aware that he's a complete ass too.

I have to say I felt soooooooo bad for Ashley for like the entire episode. First of all she has to deal with Spence calling her a ho ("You're used to being talked about, front page trash" OUCH!) and then freaking out at her when Ash said that Madison was trying to break them up. Ashley's "You know I'm sorry that this is so terrible for you, but what hurts the most is that you don't want anybody to think it's true ... even if it is a lie" made me just want to hug her. Then she has to deal with Glen all up in her face about turning Spencer gay, and then Madison and Tweendle Dum rubbing the Spencer/Aiden date in her face. Sigh, Ash gets shit on so much by everybody, and in addition to Mandy Musgrave's absolutely adorable pouty face just makes me want to hug her and get her a bowl of ice-cream perpetually.

Aiden, was actually cool. I loved how he kept on calling Spencer out on whether she really wanted to be with him on the Worst. Date. Ever. And yes, Aiden, you are whipped for driving the girl you were just making out with over to the house of the girl she REALLY wanted to make out with. And you're so much cooler for it.

Ashley kissing girls is hot. Her "friend" wasn't really, but the kissing was hot. I thought they were going to get all old skool Jenny/Marina in that washroom stall, and really they did in a PG-13 kinda way. But the best part of that scene was that it established that when Spashley happens we'll definately get to see kissage, and gropage, which gets two thumbs up from me.

And finally the end scene. SOOOOO cute. First of all, sleepy, coked out Ashley is hot. Seriously the messy hair and underwear lounging = hot. Also, I loved that Ashley spent the whole night talking about Spencer to Random Girl. Their love is pure! And Spencer got a chance to say the line that sent girls around the world swooning, "I didn't want to deal with being gay ... but I couldn't deal with not being with you" *SWOON* Also that scene brought the funny:

ASH: I'm not easy.
SPENCE: That's not what I heard.
Hee.

Plus, Ashley then laying her head in Spencer's lap as Spence stroked her hair was soo sweet and cute.

Sigh, I love this show. Is it next week yet? *rubbing hands together in anticipation of hand holding*

In addition to what you mentioned above, I also love all the scenes involving Sean. His defense of the alternate meaning of family. His gratitude and relief at his cousin's recovery, and the support he received from his friends was great.

Every time I think they're going to turn Aiden into another Glen, scenes like these come along and I'm reminded that he's far cooler. Even if he does act the high school jock on occassion. So whipped

A cute, funny, sad, awwww episode, that just makes me love Ashley and Spencer all the more.

But for ultimate cute moment I must nominate the first few seconds of next week's preview. So cute!

I know, the craving gets worse the more I see. At first I was like, "This show is kinda cute", and now I'm like fucking Gollum, "Me wants it! Me needs it! Spashley, my precious!" lol

Yeah, I waffle back and forth on Aiden, as he waffles. When he's checking out Spence's ass right in front of her Mother, I'm like 'you are an ass of Glen-like proportions', but then he's all sweet and understanding and a good friend like tonight, and I'm like 'you are cute and cool, you can stay!'

I hope there's not too long a break between seasons, but knowing my luck we'll have to wait a year... so Gollum-esque.

Yep, that was Paula giving Spencer a little five across the eye! Like I needed a reason to detest her more. Not that Ashley's momma bear is any better. In fact, based on the sneak peek, it looks like Momma Carlin and Momma Davies will be having a 'Raving Bitch Off' next episode to see who'll win the worst mother of the year award.

I hope there's not too long a break between seasons, but knowing my luck we'll have to wait a year... so Gollum-esque.

I feel your pain. I really hope there's only a couple months or something in between though, cause I don't know if I'll be able to hold out much longer than that!

Awesome show. It's got highly addictive qualities though, and once you start you're friends and family might have to do an intervention to get you to stop. You'll be all Jack Twist, "God, I wish I knew how to quit yoooou!" lol.

I can't wait for them to actually get together because this storyline has been so real and honest (if perhaps more positive than my own coming out).

I heard rumors that there will indeed be a second season, so I'm hoping they'll explore the Spencer/Ashley relationship to its fullest...and not just have them break up right away. I hate that.

I know. As sweet as the build up has been, I'm really interested in finding out how they handle the relationship. This show has done such a good job with the build up, that I this point in really confident that they'll handle it well, and really interested to see how it plays out.

Yeah, that's been confirmed by the stars, so YAY! Now, as long as we get a kiss next week, I'll be perfectly happy going into season 2.

I second that hate. I'm STILL bitter about Alex and Marissa on the O.C. GRRR, damn you FOX! I think South of Nowhere will give the relationship proper treatment and respect though, just like they have so far. At least I hope!

I also love the moments when I yelled at the screen, "I don't care if you're doing a great job at playing a sixteen year-old, you have the amrs of the twenty-five year-old that you are Gabrielle Christian." and [at the hoe that makes out with Ashley at that teen-y bopper bar] "That is not the rack of a teenager!"

Also, suck-tastic! I TiVO'd it and the damn thing cut out before they showed the previews. Were they pretty? Was there much girl kissing? Or more to the point, much Ashley/Spencer kiss-age?

I heart Aiden when he's all dorky and cute. It's only when he's being a horndog or walking in on near Spashley kissage that I want him off my screen. He was in good adorkable form in this ep. though. I hope one day he finds himself a girl that actually likes boys, lol. Or that he finds himself a boy ;)

No kissage in the previews :( There was however, stroking of hair, hand holding, and being led towards a bed.
