After watching 'South of Nowhere' obsessively for a while now, it's been driving me insane trying to figure out who Mandy Musgrave (Ashley) reminds me of. And then FINALLY I figured it out! She's like a mini-Ashley Scott, like the pocket sized version of Huntress. The character Ashley is even ever Helena/Huntress-esque, like what Helena would've been like in High School (only sluttier).

I find Ashley Scott very yummy even though, at first, she kinda made frown contemplatively. Now? Mmmm. And I did the exact same thing with Mandy Musgrave - though she still seems terribly short and that would put me off if I ever saw her in person...bygones...

Thanks god, I'm not insane! Same mouth, similar noses, even their delivery of lines is similar at times (you see I was forced to dust off those BoP tapes to check the similarities, lol).

lol. "Frown comtemplatively" is the perfect description. I did the same thing with Ashley at first, and then by like the second or third episode of the series I was fully on the "she's hot" train, and Dina Meyer suddenly had competition in the stone cold fox category.
And I did the exact same thing with Mandy Musgrave - though she still seems terribly short and that would put me off if I ever saw her in person...bygones...
I get that. On screen I can find Mandy hot (esp. if she's just with Gabrielle who is equally wee, or in short skirts and/or tight tee's), but she's like 5'2 which would throw me off and decrease the hotness in real life. If I had to choose it would be Ashley in all of her 5'9 brunette or blonde glory.

That is an excellent point...plus the freshly non-jailbaitness of a 19 year old? Not as much fun as one would think. (I'm not that old, 22, but I teach 19 year olds in university and sneer at their youth/immaturity...weird, right?)
My vote would be for Ms Scott as well, I believe. Now if you throw in Dina Meyer to this little choose-fest? Mmm, tough call...

lol. I get that. I work with teenagers so the 19-ness of Mandy kinda weirds me out, even though I'm only 4 years older than her. I'm much more comfortable with Scott's 27 (plus older women are hot: see Dina Meyer lusting below ;) )

Cordelia Chase-eqse philosphical musing: Everybody loves pouty, cupid's bow, perfectly kissable lips. But pouty, perfect, lips and button noses times two. Is it possible to have too much pouty perfection and adorableness in one picture?

I think we need them on screen together, I'd totally be down for Ashley guesting on South of Nowhere as Ashley's half-sister (a child that Mr. Davies had on the road with a groupie or something, SoN's answer to Liv Tyler). They could smirk, and pout, and quip and flirt with girls. It would be the best half hour of television ever.
