Painkiller Jane - Okay, it's official this show hates me

So...I haven't watched 1x12 yet, but because I like to prepare myself for the horror that is to come I usually check TWoP for comments before viewing the episode so I know whether to lower my expectations or keep them at a middling level of expectation.

So there I was reading the comments, and apparently they killed Mo?

Can anyone confirm this? Cause if so I don't know if I'll bother with the episode or the show anymore. It's just the last straw. Okay, I'll probably watch the episode because I'm a glutton for punishment, but it's like the producers are trying to do everything in their power to make me loath this show.

I mean, Loken is now the sole female on the show. And yeah, she's a hell of a lot of woman, but common. I don't want to watch the boys club and Jane. I mean, the show can't be trying to avoid subtext that badly can they. Anyway, this really might be the last straw. I think it's a good thing that I'm gonna be away and won't be able to watch for a couple weeks.

Anyway, if anyone knows if that's true for sure, lemme know so I can prepare myself ... TO NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW AGAIN!

There's only so much L Word and/or subtexty shows one can watch before you crave something with a little more substance.

I feel you so much on that. I'm tired of scraps and suffering through shows I hate for some GOGA. I don't care if it's an unpopular opinion, I find TLW absolutely impossible to sit through. That show just makes me squirm with its awfulness. It's so uncomfortable, almost everyone is unlikeable, and I haven't really LIKED any couple on the show (okay, I liked Dana and Lara in the first season but ... *thinks* yeah, that's pretty much it).

I just want a show that I actually enjoy, with an actual lesbian relationship, and character development. Why is this so impossible?

Oh I hope that's not an unpopular opinion because I'm right there with you. I bailed midway through season three. Only watched season 4 because of KL and have no plans to be back for season 5 now that Loken's gone. I don't want to use the word 'resent' because no one's making me watch it but that's how I feel. I resent that I watch the show because there's no other alternative. And the PTB patting themselves on the back for such 'edgy' and 'real' program knowing full well we're a 'captive audience' who would change the channel in a heartbeat if there were an actual alternative.

Thank god there are some people who are willing to admit the show is crap. TWoP boards sometime confuse me into thinking that the majority of people actually like this show.

Yeah, same here. And halfway through the season I gave up on watching the actual episodes and just watched the clips that featured KL because I couldn't take squirming through an entire episode for like 5 minutes of Lokinator action.

I totally get that. I feel the same way about it. I'm watching it because it's all that there is, but I don't really like it and I'm pissed that I have to sit through something so dreadful just to have anything at all.

The arrogance of the creator is one thing that really pisses me off about TLW. Chaiken thinks she's a friggin genius and that her show is the highest quality of art, when really it's badly plotted, badly written, coocoo bananas, bullshit, populated by a lot of weird and unlikeable characters, where no one is allowed to be happy EVER.
