The Crappening ... er, uh, I mean The Happening

So, I saw The Happening tonight and it pretty much equals poo.

AVOID!

AVOID!

In happier news, I accidentally stumbled upon a Dina Meyer movie I hadn't seen before on Showcase this afternoon.  The movie was called Imaginary Playmate (and no, it's not based on my fantasies about Dina Meyer) and it's not good by any means of the imagination, but it had Dina Meyer in it and I've been able to sit through unbelievably horrible movies because of that alone.

I also got Point Pleasant on DVD for like $14 bucks.   Which again, not great, but = 13 episodes of Dina Meyer.

So, in conclusion:  The Happening sucks elephant nuts, and Dina Meyer is hot.

aw man...i was kinda looking forward to seeing this...*sad face*...

i need to find a cheaper copy of the second season of the boondocks...

i hope the extras for the BoP dvds don't suck and have gratuitous DM material...

I was too. The trailers were so good, that I was really hoping to like it. But it was laughably bad. About halfway through the entire audience gave up, and it was nothing but laughter and groaning. It was just ... I can't even express how horrible it was. This was like straight to video quality bad.

Oooh, is season 2 out now. I need to finds me a cheap copy of that too. I feel like I missed a lot of the second season.

I know. I'm disappointed they don't have commentaries on the BoP DVDs. I mean, I imdb'd them, Dina, Ashley and Rachel totally could have fit it into their schedules. Gratuitous DM would totally make up for that though. Bring it Warner Bros., bring it!

I really feel bad for M. Night Shama...Shamalamadingdong (whatever)...I just don't think he's made a good movie since the one with Bruce Willis...

I'm kinda feeling bad for M. Night Sucksalot right now too. I mean I managed to find things about The Village and Lady In The Water that I liked, but The Happening was just ridiculously. It's like every bad thing that the critics have pointed out about his movies found a home here. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about it.

He better hope Avatar is good.

[identity profile] amluv.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
i fear for the avatar...because i love the animated version more than my kidneys...hey, have you ever gotten around to watching it yet?? there's no excuses missy *stern face*...

*sad face* i was totally hoping i could suffer through it just for my love of zooey, but it looks like i may not be doing that, even.

[identity profile] fembuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
If you love Zooey stay away. You don't want to taint your memory of her. Keep Zooey pure in your mind, and stay away. I'd tell you to watch Tin Man again instead of this. And Tin Man was ... not good. Still, it wasn't The Happening horrible, and DG and Azkadelia were hot together (yeah, I said it!)

pointpleasant rocks *nods*

[identity profile] fembuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It started off kind of rocky, but it was getting really good right before it was canceled *sigh* This is why I hate FOX.

*frets about Dollhouse*

[identity profile] billy-rose.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
you catch the last unaired ep? cuz that was badass

[identity profile] fembuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that was the one that made me scream "DAMN YOU FOX, DAMN YOU!" because I wanted to see what would happen next. They also cancel shows just when they're beginning to hit their stride.

[identity profile] billy-rose.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah - kinda makes me wanna play poker with the idiots who run fox
would probably win every hand because they clearly don't know how to gamble *shakes head*

If it helps, I just watched the latest Rambo for Julie Benz.

*pats heart*

I does make me feel better to know that others will sit through horrible movies for the hotness of the actresses in it.

Sometimes you just gotta do, what you gotta do, you know.
