This is my pimp cane, for it is time for me to pimp a live internet radio chat I'll be doing on August 20th, 2009!

allaine77 has been hosting a live radio chat, Femslash For Fans (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allaine), a call-in Internet radio show for the past two months.  It is devoted to Internet femslash fan communities and the authors who write there. The goal is to give femslash fanfic authors the chance to be interviewed over the medium of live audio, and readers the chance to hear what the authors have to say.

Its next show, airs LIVE next Thursday, August 20th, at 10 PM EST, and it will be a Multi-fandom interview with yours truly.

Earlier this year I spoke with harper_m in the first of an ongoing series of interviews with femslash fanfic authors who have written so many good stories, for so many pairings, for so long that we can't limit them to a single fandom. This time around, I'll be talking to an equally prolific author - some of you might know her as Janine, but most of us know her best as fembuck. Having spent years writing femslash for fandoms as huge as Harry Potter, or as small as The Mummy Returns, Fembuck is just as busy today as she was five years ago, and she remains as comfortable writing erotica as she does teen romance. We'll be discussing several fandoms in this show, including the current Joss Whedon drama Dollhouse, the long-deceased but never forgotten Once & Again on ABC, and the popular series of Rachel Morgan novels by Kim Harrison.

So, if any of you have any interest in listening to me ramble on about stuff with audio instead of the usual old written rambles, then listen in on Thursday at 10 PM Eastern Standard Time (the shows usually last around 45 min.).  If you can't listen live, you can listen later by downloading the .mp3 file, and there will also be a live chatroom while the show is on.

I haven't been hearing too many cock-blocky things from Cock Block. I guess the cock-blockiest thing I've heard is that she still hasn't made up her mind yet whether or not Rachel can be bound. Because demons can't be bound, Rachel's demon blood would be a way to get the issue of being bound out of the way of a Ivy/Rachel relationship (which she knows, which is why she's being all wishy-washy about it). Actually, I think she knows, and I think Rachel will end up being immune to being bound, but Kim just won't say for sure because it would pretty much be saying, "Yes, Ivy and Rachel will definitely get together" and she doesn't want to do that yet.

In other Hollows news, Kim is working on a IS-era Ivy comic book. I'm not a 100% on the storyline, but I think I've heard that it might have Rachel in it, and be based around the time that they first start working together. If it is IS Ivy and Rachel, I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it. I'll get it anyway for visuals of Ivy though!

No, I don't think that Twilight will be discussed.

I think the main fandoms to be focused on are going to be Dollhouse, The Hollows, and Once and Again, with a couple single questions about some other fandoms that allaine is familiar with.

I've actually listened to a couple of episodes already. I'm a big Harper and Popular fan so I was stoked to see her doing an interview. When they were discussing Popular, it made me think of you because Thin Line was the first Popular story I ever read and it got me hooked. Looking forward to hear your interview as well! :)

I loved it, even if I'm not very familiar with a lot of the fandoms you talked about. That's okay, because now there are a bunch of things I want to watch/read.

Also, not to sound stalkerish, there's something satisfying about putting an actual voice to your words. But I also think you're amazing and fascinating, so this is probably just a typical fangirl thing :P
