Adorable, thy name is Jennifer Lawrence.

Part 2 of the Interview behind the cut ... )

I hope she does more interviews when X-Men: First Class comes out, cause she's hilarious.  I also already know that I'mma ship Emma/Mystique when the movie comes out, cause my new girl!crush on Jen means that I must femslash her and Winter's Bone was too depressing, and The Hunger Games movie won't really offer any possibilities either.

I have been interviewed, and now it is time to get wine-d (oh, quiet language police, you know what I mean!) and turn on the fan because it has been hotter than Hades in Toronto for like a week now, and my hypocritical ass is wanting the mild weather back after complaining endlessly about how cool it was during the entirety of July *is chagrined*

It was great to see some familiar screen names logged on the chat.

And, Allaine, if you happen to spy this, thank you again for inviting me to be on your show.

For those of you that listened (or are going to at a later date) I hope that you enjoyed it, and that I wasn't speaking too quickly. I tend to do that when I'm nervous/excited. I turn into a sugared up five year old when that happens, it is ridiculous but occasionally funny for others to witness ;)

And now ... it's random thoughts time!

1.

is totally what was like as a teenager.  And Ty Lee and Mai are Cissy and Andromeda.  I was trying to figure out why I liked Azula's Evil Girl Harem so much, and it's because it is Blackcest without the 'cest.

2.  New Alice Cullen still

(click to embiggen)

a.  First, EGADS that outfit is an eye sore.  Ashley Greene is lucky she's like a Face Goddess and can therefore still be hot wearing any old thing.  It's like the costumer placed patches of velcro on her and then randomly threw shit onto her and then just rolled with what stuck.

b.  Second, this picture forces to me contemplate who would win in a fight, Alice Cullen or Terminator!Cameron?  Based on the fact that Alice is wearing those hand/lower arm warmers, I'm guessing that Alice Cullen would win.

Hello f-list,

This is my pimp cane, for it is time for me to pimp a live internet radio chat I'll be doing on August 20th, 2009!

[livejournal.com profile] allaine77 has been hosting a live radio chat, Femslash For Fans (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allaine), a call-in Internet radio show for the past two months.  It is devoted to Internet femslash fan communities and the authors who write there. The goal is to give femslash fanfic authors the chance to be interviewed over the medium of live audio, and readers the chance to hear what the authors have to say.

Its next show, airs LIVE next Thursday, August 20th, at 10 PM EST, and it will be a Multi-fandom interview with yours truly.

Information on the fandoms to be covered in the interview ... )

So, if any of you have any interest in listening to me ramble on about stuff with audio instead of the usual old written rambles, then listen in on Thursday at 10 PM Eastern Standard Time (the shows usually last around 45 min.).  If you can't listen live, you can listen later by downloading the .mp3 file, and there will also be a live chatroom while the show is on.

You can also go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allaine to hear previous interviews with authors from such fandoms as Grey's Anatomy, Guiding Light, Devil Wears Prada, and X-Men.

And now I shall take my pimp back, and quietly shuffle out of the room.

So, I've been feeling pretty much like this since Sunday.   But I just read this interview with Megan Fox and it totally made my day a little less sucktacular.

Keep right on talking, Megan Fox... )

I'm liking this new trend with Megan Fox.  Her interviews are making sense, and she's looking classy as well as hot at the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen press conferences.  All of this, in addition to the pretty kickass article above has made me take an official stance of saying that Megan Fox is pretty funny, self-aware and smart. I like her.

She dominates!

PLEASE DO NOT HOTLINK!  Hotlinking hotlinkers who hotlink have KILLED my photobucket account.  Right click, save, and upload the pics/.gifs somewhere else if you want to use them.  Thank you.

Watch Leighton giggle and talk about: Conan lurking in her dressing room, almost meeting Conan on the set of House, Gossip Girl, Creepy fans, Her 'Happy Feet' nickname, her signature move, and Scarf power.

Happy Feet doing her thang

Reactions to the interview:

That interview is made of win.

It's like Leighton did a whole lot of drugs back stage before coming out, and everything in the world was shiny and happy to her. I've never seen her laugh that much. "Who was that giant man? It was YOU!" LOL.

It's official, Leighton would be the most fun ever to hang out with high, lol.

Her laugh is so infectious. Seriously, I could listen to her laugh all day and just fall more and more in love with the sound.

On a completely shallow note, she looked FABULOUS! FAB-U-LOUS!

She is too funny.  Like when she was talking about creepy gifts from fans, and was like, "... lunch boxes with our faces painted on them ... and cyanide inside."  The cyanide thing made me crack up.

"It's like one step ... and then you rock!" LOL. Leighton!

Scarf Power! Vest Power! lol. So high.

Also, the way she drawled, "I do it on the subway sometimes" made me rowr!

Love, total and adoring, love.

So normally I avoid eTalk like its gonna kick me in the groin, because honestly that's what watching it feels like most of the time, but when I saw that Leighton was on it, and I couldn't resist and I'm so glad I didn't.

It was ten minutes of Leighton being thoughtful, articulate, beautiful and totally hilarious and lovable )

Tanya Kim got a little (oh, who am I kidding A LOT) annoying with her constant comparisons of the show to The O.C., but Leighton was so delightful that her pose and grace out shone all of Tanya's idiocy.

Seriously, I want to hang out with Leighton and take her around behind the middle school and get her pregnant!

What I liked about this interview was that because it was long you really got to hear a lot of what she had to say, and I totally loved her thoughts on Blair (and that she has thought a lot about Blair). The humanness she brings to Blair is not an accident. Her thoughts on Eleanor being the root of most of Blair's problems, and her dissection of how Blair looks to herself in comparison to Serena is totally how I've interpreted the character. And I'm totally going to use her insight into Blair wanting her life to be an Audrey Hepburn movie in fic!

Tanya: So what are you going to do to keep your private life private?
Leighton: Um, I think I'm just going to live a really boring life.

Oh, Leighton! XOXO Janine

I also had to laugh when she talked about 24 and how her character died. I'll admit that back then I hadn't seen the light and I was literally clapping and laughing my ass off when her character died. She's right it was a very memorable death. I'm sorry though bb, I love you! Also, the concentration she put into saying Shohreh Aghdashloo's name was SO cute (and I love her for saying it so that I could confirm that I have been saying it right!) Not to mention it was so funny when she ran out of famous Canadians she knew of to list, and got flustered and was all like "I love your cars", lol. So sweet to give us the benefit of the doubt bb, but we don't make cars. We drive them and pay other countries money for them, but that's about it.

Listen, it's ten minutes of Leighton looking good, and being funny and well-spoken (she would pause and THINK before she speaks, people! Think! How rare and beautiful), you totally need to just watch it and fall in love all over again

After bemoaning the lack of Painkiller Jane promotional material just a few hours ago, SciFi decided to be a pal and update their site with a slew, yes that's right, a slew of Painkiller Jane promotional pictures, and an interview with The Loken herself which shows clips from the show.

Painkiller Jane Picspam )

The rest of the Painkiller Jane gallery that these pictures came from, and the interview with Kristanna that contains clips from the show can be found here at the SciFi Channel website.

The more I hear about this, the more I'm looking forward to it! I mean even if it looked like it was filmed on someone's cellphone and the promo consisted of Kristanna twirling around in the rain looking up at the heaven's yelling "damn you, Salazar!" or something, I would have still watched it, but it's looking more and more like I won't have to be ashamed to admit that I watch it, lol.

This is like the first time ever that I'm looking forward to Friday the 13th!
