"Dexter" squeeage

Dexter, Dexter, you so fine, you so fine you blow my mind ... DEXTER!

Seriously, I love this show.

*hearts Maria so much* Not only is LaGuerta crazy!mad!sexy!hot but she's all with the being cool and in control, and being all woman!power and schooling the Captain and NOT flirting with Dexter. Not only that, but she's kind of bring the femslash with not only Deb, but Esme too (though Esme totally doesn't deserve her). Goddamn, I love LaGuerta!

Jamie Murray! I've been waiting for you to show up good-looking! Loved Lila's coffee talk with Dexter, and I'm interested to see how their relationship is going to develop. I honestly hope that she won't come between him and Rita though (*hugs Dexter/Rita*), being a homewrecker is pretty much the only thing that could make me hate this character. *pets Jamie* So pretty ... and British and darkly predatory.

Seska! The Star Trek geek in me was also pleased to see Martha Hackett (aka Seska) show up. I loved Seska *le sigh*

Deb continues to break my heart. Jennifer Carpenter is so good. I love that she made that connection at the end though, and might be getting back on her game. I hope they don't hook her up with Keith Carradine though. That might be a bit much for me to take, and honestly, the girl could use some alone time.

I liked backbone!Rita. And I loved that it's being acknowledged that Dexter definitely has feeling for Rita and the kids. Him stabbing that guy while saying "Don't talk about my girlfriend like that" should not have been romantic, but it so totally was.

*sighs* Dexter. That's good watching!

Dexter has been awesome this season! It hasn't disappointed me yet.

I love how Maria is all hot and in control, without being the one officially in power. I loved how she didn't rat Esme out to the Captain (even though I find Esme annoying and thinks she needs to get canned, fast), and I would bet anything that her decision was more self-serving and less out of loyalty or empathy.

Deb is what the show's all about for me lately. I love her and it kills me (in both the good and bad ways) that she's hunting Dex and doesn't even know it. I love watching her claw her way out of the dark hole she's been in.

I didn't care much for the NA chick. She seems too plot-device-y to me. But if it means giving Julie Benz a stronger storyline, I'm all for it.

Yeah, I love the fact that even after being demoted she's still "the woman". You can't take away what she's got. She just radiates power and authority, and it's so hot.

I liked Esme at the end of last season before all of this boyfriend stupidness started. I was enjoying the tentative bond between her and Maria, but now she's gots to go!

I would bet anything that her decision was more self-serving and less out of loyalty or empathy.

I know, and I love that about Maria. There's a part of me that thinks she's waiting for Esme to screw up so bad that Matthew's has to come groveling for her to take over (and probably give her a raise as well as getting her Lt.ship back). Although, because Lauren Velez is so good, I also think that Maria went a little bit of what she says, and actually liked having another woman she could talk to around for a bit. Oh, layers. You're sexy!

I love watching her claw her way out of the dark hole she's been in.

Yeah, Deb is breaking my heart right now, but I'm rooting for her so much. JC is really selling that deep pain and brokenness which made seeing a little light shine through last episode really nice.

I didn't care much for the NA chick. She seems too plot-device-y to me. But if it means giving Julie Benz a stronger storyline, I'm all for it.

I love Jaime Murray. She was on this show called "Hustle" which was tons of fun, and was just stylish and sleek and snarky and so even though I'm not loving the wardrobe choices I'm digging Lila. I really liked the coffee shop convo, and as long as they don't have Lila mess with Dexter/Rita I'll be fine with her. If she does mess with Dexter/Rita, as pretty as Jamie is, I give Rita free reign to go after her with high heel shoes!

Also, Julie was awesome last night. She did so much with Rita, she so much fun to watch. I don't even automatically think "Darla" every time I see her on screen now lol

okay, i totally missed that...what part did she play??...*is totally blinded by the hotness that is lauren velez that i totally missed her...

oh god, deb and la guerta are soooooo slashy...of course this was made painfully clear in that bathroom scene from season one...but the hug j, the hug...it screamed "we need to get sexxy on each other"...

and agree w/ you about busting up dex and rita...they are so dysfunctionally sweet together and me a serious case of the "awwwwws"...and mmm mmm homewrecker hottie...delicious!!...

once again, really owe you for tuning me on to this show...:)

okay, i totally missed that...what part did she play??

She played the first woman that Deb interviewed. She was the one who's criminal boyfriend disappeared (it was the boyfriends case that Deb later took to Keith Carradine)

*is totally blinded by the hotness that is lauren velez*

Oh I know. Lauren was looking superfine last episode. I was in a LaGuerta haze of lust every time she was on screen. When she was all "I'll take care of it" before leaving Esme's office, I was like "you've certainly taken care of being super sexy and making me think dirty thoughts! Keep up the good work!". *drifts off to entertain more dirty thoughts* Daaaamn.

but the hug j, the hug...it screamed "we need to get sexxy on each other"...

I know! LaGuerta was all tender and shit, like "Damn, shortie I missed you soooo much! Don't ever run out on me like that again!" It was so cute and sexy. LaGuerta also has chem is Esme, but I hate Esme's incompetent ass so she betta step 'way from LaGuerta. Deb and LaGuerta need more screen time together however! I was broken hearted when they got separate assignments that would keep them away from each other. *cries to writers that LaGuerta should be Deb's mentor not old Keith Carradine*

they are so dysfunctionally sweet together and me a serious case of the "awwwwws"

Oh, I know. I was all misty-eyed at the end. I'm calling that mini-van, the "Mini-Van of LOVE" from now on. *loves Dexter/Rita like whoa*

mmm mmm homewrecker hottie...delicious!!...

lol. She'll be more delicious if she's not a homewrecker! Seriously though, Jamie Murray is too sexy. I love her. I just hope that Lila doesn't turn out to be a homewrecker so that I can enjoy her hotness without hating her effing with Dexter/Rita.

once again, really owe you for tuning me on to this show...:)

*scuffs shoe* Just doin' my job, Miss. Weren't but nothing *bashful grin*

Oh God, I love Dexter so much it hurts!! This show made me get teary-eyed over a serial killer!! I think that's what I love so much, they never gloss over Dexter's darkness and that he's a monster. And yet, he's so incredibly *human*, which makes him so compelling and watchable.

Deb continues to break my heart. Jennifer Carpenter is so good.

Yes! Despite her bravado, Deb's nothing but exposed nerve endings and raw emotions. She was 'broken' long before Rudy/Brian came along trying to compete for her father's affections for all the wrong reasons. But, like Carradine pointed out, she's stronger and smarter than she realizes, and that's what's going to put her back together again and make Deb step out of Harry and Dexter's shadow to become her own person.

I'd also point out, had it not been for Deb, Dexter never would have developed 'feelings' for Rita and the kids. Whether or not this will be enough for him to choose humanity over his 'dark passenger' remains to be seen.

*sigh* Obviously I thought about this.. alot!!

So true. I mean, I thought it was romantic when he stabbed that guy for bad-mouthing Rita. And his desperate knocking and genuine happiness when he went to tell Rita he went back to the meetings. He's just so ... Dexter *hugs*

Deb's nothing but exposed nerve endings and raw emotions.

Such a perfect description of Deb right now.

she's stronger and smarter than she realizes, and that's what's going to put her back together again and make Deb step out of Harry and Dexter's shadow to become her own person.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Deb's storyline play out season. I think watching her heal and come into her own will be a beautiful, captivating thing to see.

Obviously I thought about this.. alot!!

How could you not? This show = So good!

Jaime Murray? I am pre-programmed to watch any actress who played sexy and gay, so I'll have to make an effort to catch up with the new series. I hope she doesn't turn out to be the home-wrecker. But I do hope she gets to be sexy-predatory-sarcastic lady with someone, as she does it so well.

Jaime Murray played gay?!?! WHEN? WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THIS?? *cries* You totally need to tell me what this was so that I can track it down (by any means necessary)

Yes. I thousand times, yes.

It was about five years ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but she was in a three episode arc of a police drama called 'The Bill' (it's been going for years). Her character was very sexy and seductive - I think she worked in or ran a nightclub or gambling establishment - and had a brief affair with one of the regular characters (police woman).

If you ever do manage to track it down, I'd love to see it again *g* I'll keep a look out for it this end.
