A Doctor in the House of Love ...

I'm thinking that those Ms. Lonely Hearts engagements were taking up the time Adelle was previous spending with Claire.  Adelle remained satisfied, but I think it's been a long couple months of Claire if the websites she's visiting are any indication.

meetcutie.biz??????

Because even 'mysterious, shut-in, hermit, doctors for secret organizations, with sexy facial scars' need a helping hand every once in a while.

Claire, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say you're one hottie I'd like to meet.

P.S.  The picture has not been altered.  I checked the episode (1.09 - A Spy In The House of Love, 4:49 approx.) and it is there.  It's a really, really quick flash, but it's totally there.

This is very true. Nobody should be alone in a place with that many hot chicks.

*snicker* Is it sad I can totally see one of the other cast members doing this as the mother of all pranks on Claire? xD I can't believe she wouldn't have busted up laughing.

You made me, today I watched episode 5. I couldn't get the others because my connection was a bitch all damn day, I hate it. But well I liked it, tbh I was losing interest on the show but that one just got me hooked again. Still I think that I'm way behind :P

I gotta thank whoever the person was with eagle eyes that caught that. it's pretty priceless.

Other than the comedic value of that reveal, I myself find me worried about Claire's romantic life. She's a damn catch and working 24/7 can't be that much fun. I'd rather see Claire smiling and happy than depressed of the whole workload she's on currently. :(
Maybe there's a reason she finds relationships difficult, but I can't figure out what that reason might be. Post-traumatic stress from the attack...? Or maybe she's completely fallen for someone inside the dollhouse but can't figure out how to drive forth her desire in a way that concludes satisfactory.

I'm thinking it's got to be something like that. She wasn't living in the Doll House before Alpha's attack, so her extreme hermitage must be related to that.

Or maybe she's completely fallen for someone inside the dollhouse but can't figure out how to drive forth her desire in a way that concludes satisfactory.

I don't think that it would ever be made canon, but I could totally see this in regards to Echo. Claire seems to understand the appeal to the dolls to clients, and even seems to sympathize with some of the clients. Her little speech to Boyd this episode about why people hire the dolls, really sounded like she had a good understanding of it. I could see her, being drawn to and really wanting to experience the same fantasy-fulfilment, but holding herself back.

Does anyone else think that maybe Claire was looking to see if she could figure out who Ms. Lonely Hearts is? She seems to be the only one who realizes or cares that there are potential problems that could arise from imprinting the same personality into the dolls repeatedly and she was worried about the effect it was having on Victor.

Sure, the episode was setting us up with the train of thought that Claire is lonely and that she has no life outside of the dollhouse, but Joss (oh how I've missed you, sir) likes to set us lead us down one train of thought, only to come back and flip us around on it. I think Claire is dedicated first and foremost to the dolls. The girl has no life outside the house, but she never indicated that she's not ok with that.

Hm, I never thought of that. I was all about the comedic value. But, I suppose she could have been looking through profiles to see if there were any that fit Ms. Lonely Hearts.

I feel this way. I mean, I do think that not leaving the dollhouse in 3 months has to be related to Alpha's attack in some way. She didn't spend that much time there before, but I'm hesitant to go the 'Claire is a sad, lonely person route'. She's surprised me before, and I think that her reasons for staying are probably deeper than her being scared of the outside world. I mean, her attacked happened in the house, so she can't be running from it by staying there.

Right. So maybe it's more related to monitoring the dolls and making sure everyone is behaving appropriately and looking for signals of another Alpha-type incident. Maybe she feels partly responsible for the attack, had she picked up on the signs maybe it could have been avoided, etc.

*sigh* I LOVE this show.

OT but nooooooooooooo

I'm not surprised, but I'm terribly disappointed. This show was so good. America audiences and FOX television suck!
