Skins is pretty effing good!

1.  OMG, Katie is so fucking unlikable.  Although, it does crack me up that, "You promised it wasn't true" girl has a giant fucking crush on Effy.  I mean, Emily's a big 'ol Lez (and I LOVE her), but Katie has been like all up in Effy's gorgeous face for all of the series as well.  Methinks, it runs a little in the family, lol.

2.  EMILY!!!!  I love Emily so much.  She's like a this cute little puppy dog!  I just want to hug her, and go for bikes rides with her, and talk about "oils and stuff"!  Such a precious, adorable, little thing.  And so deliciously, amazingly gay.

3.  Naomi.  I love her, althought I'm getting mad at her for constantly kicking Emily!Puppy when she happy.  She gets some great lines, though and is wicked smart.  Her summation of Hamlet and her asseration that sililoquays are just Shakespearean masturbation cemented by love for her.  And I am so relieved that she didn't sleep with Cook.

4.  Effy, Effy, Effy.  Effy cracks me up.  She gets some great lines.  "I don't try."  "Everyone's in love with me", lol.  She breaks my heart though too.  Effy/Cook (hell, Cook/Everyone) makes me shudder uncontrollably.  Effy, darling, you can do so much better.  Especially since you're willing to put out.  Upgrade, darling.  Upgrade!  Still, j'adore.  Sexdelario earns her nickname.

5.  Panda is one adorable weirdo.  I loved her at the beginning, and her and her pot!tea drinking, chainsaw collection having aunt cracked me up.  I am very disappointed in her continuing to sleep with Cook even though Thomas is back.  I don't hold giving it up to Cook against her, but going back for more after Thomas was back *finger wag*  Do not like Panda.  You are Stupid Poo with that move.  We'll see if the last few episodes can endear you to me again.

6.  Thomas = love.  I adore that kid, and I LOVED him and Panda until ... well, see #5

7.  Freddie why are you always so DIRTY?  I know you're a teenage boy, but goddamn, wash your clothes!  Seriously, you are super, ridiculously good looking, but I would not let you sit on anything in my house, let alone sit on you!  I was so happy that you swam out to Effy that time so that you were CLEAN when you kissed her.  Seriously, BATHE you handsome bastard.  And yes, yes he is a fun sponge.

8.  Cook ... the less said the better.  I don't hate him, but I don't love him.  And every time I start to like him, he does something unbearably douchey and I go back to disliking him again.  Also, like Freddie, he needs to wash his clothes!

9.  JJ, is adorable.  I love him.  And I really liked how all of the music was classical in his episode.  Also, having "friends" like his, would totally drive anyway a little batty.  I also really liked him and Emily supporting each other (and her "I'm gay" speech, which was brilliant).  I must confess, as adorable as I find them and as much as I liked them together, Emily giving him a "special parting gift" kinda bugged.  They were the two kids on the show that I thought would treat sex like it was something special instead of just a way to kill time, and so I was a wee bit disappointed in both.  With Freddie the Romantic giving up and boning Katie, and Panda learning all the wrong lessons for Effy and boning Cook, I was just like, "Good God, can one of these kids not act like a total whore."  JJ's whole episode was all I could hear in my head was, "My body is a movie and your penis is the star".

10.  Naomily are amazingly hot together.  The two actress have excellent chemistry.   I still have the Effy, Katie and Emily and Everyone episodes to go, but Naomi better get her ass in gear and apologize to Emily!Puppy or I'm going to be very upset with her.  I think I broke my squee-o-meter while actually watching them on screen though, so I find myself with little to say about them.  I simply smile dreamily to myself.

Also, I am feeling strangely depressed today (I swear to God, nothing depressing has happened to me.  Yesterday was actually tons of fun and today I've only been awake for like three hours and they've been fine, and yet ...) so comment with funny .gifs and/or pics or videos you have to cheer me up pls! 

Depressed!bear doesn't feel like being depressed and needs a few laughs!

OK, first off, I'm so glad you like Skins!!!

Katie is so into Effy it hurts. Their relationship kind of explodes in Effy's episode and I can't wait to see how they're gonna interact next series.

Naomi is my favourite character, no question. I know it's kind of frustrating watching her mess Emily about, but I think it's really realistic. Naomi's episode is the one I go back to again and again. Even though the angst is off the charts, I absolutely love it.

(I must say, Emily's popularity is quite surprising to me. Not that I dislike her. I love her. But...I dunno, I just don't get it.)

I...like Freddie. I don't know why. I think, as with Naomi, I find him kind of realistic. (And, OK, I sort of relate to him. I too am a fun-sponge. Or, at his age, I was the one worried about everyone else and what they were going to get themselves into.) As a character, though, he is kinda boring and wasn't really given all that much to do. His own episode was pretty much about his sister, which wasn't very fair.

Thomas is another one who I feel was underused. Even with Panda, he wasn't given much to do. And there is speculation that Thomas will not be getting his own episode in S4. Which is a shame, because I think he should be allowed to interact with more of the characters.

Cook. My favourite Cook moment is when he tells Naomi that she's clever. I love that moment. But I mostly can't stand him.

Panda and JJ I could take or leave. I liked Panda in Effy's ep in S2, but I'm not sure the writers knew what to do with her over the span of a whole season. (I kind of love that she and Effy are friends, though.)

I liked Panda at the beginning, but that love wore off big time as the season wore on. I think you're right and they really don't know what to do with her for a full season, so they just ended up screwing her character up for something to do.

And I did love that she and Effy were friends because they are so different, that it was so awesome that they could be BFFs. But then that got screwed up at the end too.

Seriously, it's hard for me to conjure up any Panda love right now.

The less attractive twin, yes. I don't think Meg is ugly, I just think that Kat is better looking.

Also, I fucking LOATHE Katie. I hate her with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. I hate Katie more than Cook. I would fuck Cook before I'd go out for pancakes with Katie. That's how much I dislike the character. And unfortunately, Meg suffers because of my intense Katie dislike.

So yeah, it's still Emily/Kat FTW with me.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by it as the last episode of the season. I mean, I understand why, a lot of the other plot lines had been tied up in the Katie and Emily episode, so really Bonnie and Clyde were all that was left to deal with, but because I thought that whole love quadrangle was stupid to begin with, it was a lot of 'meh' for me.

I will say, that I was more and more impressed with the actor that plays Cook as the season went on. Mostly hate Cook, but the guy is a very, very good actor.

I don't think I have commented on ANYTHING on your journal, which is shame on me.

I did, however, read your Twilight fic, and your Hollows fic, and your HP fic. And I have read/looked/drooled at all of your picspams.

Right, so, Skins. You having this epic comment on it makes me so happy, you have no clue.

And so you know (you probably do anyway), she (andthiswire.livejournal.com) is my current Skins fic obsession. She's written basically every femslash pairing in the fandom, excluding Panda, because well, just no.

And I adore Effy, I loved her in Seasons 1 and 2, and she's still fantastic.

Right, I should really start commenting on more things, shouldn't I?
