One question I wanted to ask during the earlier commentary on the episode, but how is it that Chase even knows the significance of the locket? I understand that she could very easily have been playing dumb with Alex, in regard to not knowing that Marcus had been married, but if you take what she said literally then there's no way she'd recognise the locket
That's a really good point, and I don't think that Chase was lying to Alex about not knowing about Isabelle because it actually would have given her a greater grudge against Marcus and made her more sympathetic to Alex is HAD known that Marcus had picked Krista because of the resembelence.
I'm actually not sure that Chase does know the significance of the locket. I think she responded so strongly because the locket was not something Krista had before, and was not likely to be something that she would have gone out and bought for herself (really combat boots and leather jacket Krista would not splurge on a locket for herself) so she realized that it was a gift from Marcus and was jealous because of that.
The directing during that scene was really horrible and obvious (seriously the zooming in and out on Chase's face as she saw it was ridiculous, hilarious but ridiculous) and I think that's what made it seem like this huge revelation. It probably should have just been a shot of Chase looking at the necklace, then glancing at Marcus and then back again (or maybe at the empty box on his desk), and then a look of realization and then anger.
