Okay, so this show is intentionally fucking with us, right? Because that "Happy Valentine's Day" scene between Nikita and Alex was almost too gay to function. My god, Alex had the most amazing case of sex hair ever, like someone (and by someone I mean Nikita) spent all night just running her fingers through it. And her shirt! Alex's shirt was so unbuttoned that I was blushing a little because it seemed like they'd just rolled out of bed to get a snack and exchange Valentine's Day gifts after sexing for most of the evening. Add that to the looks, the
dialogue, and the
music and the gay was almost overpowering! I mean, could Nikita have looked anymore like a classy business lady getting ready to leave the love nest she purchased for her college co-ed lover? The answer to that question is, 'No'.
I'm not even going to comment on the rest of the episode because it doesn't deserve it. It would be like having a glass of frozen Minute Maid punch after you've had a glass of Merlot.
( Okay, I take that back... )In conclusion, I like this show better when it's Action-Adventure BFFs Kicking Ass and Taking Numbers instead of
Sex and the City with spies ... which means it sucks for me that it's on the CW. Because as much as I hate Nathan and Ryan for sucking the energy, intrigue, badassery, suspense, good story-telling, dynamic characterization, chemistry, plotting and pacing from the show ... I know they're not going anywhere (at least not fast enough for me).
