You know what sucks - ABC has *two* MTF trans characters, and it figures the one that's a lesbian is the one I want runover by a bus! I was *really* hoping that Alex was such a pussyhound back in the day just meant she was a pussyhound in dude's clothing!
As for RR, I'm really happy with how *well* she and the Alexis character have been integrated into the cast. It doesn't feel overwhelming/overkill as with the Sofia character. Now, I love Salma Hayek to bits but, dayum, was I ready for that character to get off my screen.
Ugly Betty is quickly turning into my favorite show on tv. There's no character I hate or even dislike for that matter. It's Grey's Anatomy without the whiny 12-year-old for a lead, Heroes without DoughBoy sucking up valuable screentime. It's gayer than The L Word but not quite as subversive as Dexter.

Now, if only Kristanna Loken could show up as Alexis' ex-girlfriend with Meade spawn in tow (because you *know* if Alex was as big a player as they're telling us, there's a kid out there somewhere) leading to hot GOGA, I think I could die a happy person. Or, you know, at least a scene with Alexis making out with Amanda!
