OMG! I love this show. I love it. Sooooo good.

Now, this episode wasn't 90% Sachiko/Yumi like the other one, but there was plenty of Sachiko Yumi interaction, and it was fabulously cute and gay, and Sachiko is like the bestest, most cutest girlfriend ever. I really love how they're showing Sachiko opening up, and blooming with Yumi. They are so much more comfortable around each other than at the beginning of the show, and in this episode it was great to hear Sachiko acknowledge out loud how much Yumi means to her and what a big influence she is on her. They really are connected to each other and it's so great.

This episode also had quite a bit of Yumi/Yuuki interaction and bonding (no, not like that! That's what Rei and Yoshino are there for) that was really fun to watch. Best non-'cesty siblings ever.

So the episode starts out with Yuuki hovering around Yumi obviously wanting to talk to her but being awkward (must be genetic). Finally Yuuki blurts out that the members of the Hanadera (the boys’ schools student council) want to meet with the Yamayurikai (the girls school student council) before their official meeting when the school year starts so that they can talk about the Hanadera festival. Yumi says she’ll do what she can to help him out, but secretly she’s worried because Sachiko doesn’t like men and might try to avoid dealing with the boy’s school because of it.

Yumi calls the other members of the Yamayurikai for help.

So over assorted iced summer drinks Rei and Yoshini flirt, um I mean argue, and then Yumi starts talking about the boys festival and Rei admits that she has been worried too. Noriko, being Shimiko’s new girlfriend … um, souer, doesn’t know why everyone’s so worried and so it is helpfully explained that Sachiko doesn’t like men (that's right, she's not just a member, she's the president and founder of the "No Boys, Man Haters Club"), to which Noriko reminds “I thought there might be some people like that at a girl’s school.” Hee! I can only assume that when she says 'some people' she means everyone at that table, if not 95% of the school population.

Yumi then lays out her plan which is called, “Operation ‘It Would be Too Much of a Shock If We Just Threw Her Into the Boys’ School, So We’ll Gradually Acclimatize Her to it and Help Her Conquer Her Dislike of Men!” BWAH! Everyone at the table stares at her (hell, everyone in the restaurant stares at her) and then Norkio (who’s on a role this episode) mutters, “Isn’t that title a bit long?” and Yumi blushes and sits down.

Anyway, they come up with a plan to get Sachiko to interact with the Hanadera while it’s still summer vacation so that she’ll get used to them and won’t be afraid when the school year starts. They want to plan it so that the Yumiyurikai and the Hanadera student council ‘accidently’ meet forcing Sachiko to interact with them and decide that doing it at Sachiko’s house would mean that she couldn’t run away. The problem is finding a way to get the Hanadera council to Sachiko’s house. Yumi says that enlisting former Hanadera council member Kashiwagi’s (Sachiko’s cousin and ‘finance’) help will be necessary.

This leads to a pretty funny meeting with Yuuki, Yumi and Kashiwagi at his house, but they realize the plan won’t work, because Kashiwagi’s house is so big that there’s no way Sachiko would by the Hanadera needing to come to her house to have space to run a meeting.

The best part of this segment is that Touko shows up at Kashiwagi’s and Yumi gets all flustered, so after they leave while they’re waiting for the bus Yuuki asks Yumi is Touko is the reason she and Sachiko broke up last year … um, I mean fought … no I mean broke-up cause they totally did. A couple seconds later, Yumi asks what kind of girls Yuuki likes, and he’s all “Nice girls, I guess,” and then he asks Yumi, “how about you?” Now, even for Maria-Sama I’ll admit that I expected Yumi to give a description of the kind of boy she likes, but Yumi busts out with, “one’s that are pretty, and smart, and at first it seems like they have warped personalities, but inside they’re all warm-hearted, and they’re fastidious--” then Yuuki interrupts her and tells her she just described Sachiko.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Later it’s decided that they’ll arrange it so that Sachiko will ‘accidentally’ bump into the Hanadera council outside the Lillian school gates.

On the day it’s suppose to happen, Yumi accidentally bumps into Sachiko before they Yamayurikai meeting, and proceeds to be extremely nervous as Sachiko talks with her with her, worrying about whether the plan will work or not.

When they arrive at the school, Sachiko wins her first “Best Girlfriend Ever” badge of the episode. When they stop at the statue to pray, Sachiko busts out these damp towels ‘that she brought to keep them cool’ and proceeds to sponge down Yumi’s neck and face gently. I am not joking.

Yumi is eventually overcome with guilt and dropping to her knees asking Sachiko to forgive her for deceiving her. Sachiko drops down beside Yumi and tenderly tells her she has no idea what she’s talking about. Yumi looks up into Sachiko’s big blue eyes and confesses everything. After they sit in the shade and have the cutest conversation ever, complete with Sachiko stroking Yumi’s face and looking deeply into her eyes before saying “How did you become so good at handling me?” before she goes on to say, “I find myself happily complying with anything you wish” I am NOT joking! Sachiko just told Yumi that she was totally her bitch. Also Sachiko may have loved Youko, but she love Yumi more better than her … she SAID SO! I <3 Sachiko so much.

Sachiko and Yumi then go to the meeting with the rest of Yamayurikai and play with them a little. None of the other girls know that Sachiko knows about the trick, so Yumi and Sachiko have fun watching how nervous they are and playing around with them a little. Then they go out to the gates to meet the boys. The first boy to appear is Yuuki, whom Sachiko likes, so she’s all cool greeting him in a friendly fashion. All the Yamayurikai are glad to see this, but the Yuuki calls the other boys out (including one dressed in a frilly girl top), Sachiko looks at them all, her eyes scrunch up, she looks panicked and then … she faints.

Oh, Sachiko, you so crazy.

Next it skips to the school year in swing, and the first meeting between the Yamayurikai and the Hanadera council since Sachiko passed out on them. The plan to help Sachiko make it through the meeting is to have Yumi constantly at her side supporting her, and getting rid of the boy cooties with the pleasant feminine smell and girlish smile. No seriously, okay I made up the part about the pleasant feminine smell, but the rest is accurate.

The time comes to meet the boys. Yumi says to Sachiko that she’ll try and stay as close as possible (as if she ever does anything else), and Sachiko says, “Please do” as if she hadn’t given Yumi a sponge bath earlier and then complimented the way she ‘handled’ her. Seriously, they’re really gay for each.

I won’t go into all the details of meeting, sufficed to say it is extremely cute and amusing, which Sachiko trying to butch up in front of all the testosterone and remain conscious, while Yumi watches her and silently praises her for being able to speak to them.

Another reason I love this show … Alice! This is the boy who was in a girls top at the first meeting. His real name is Kintarou, the name of a manly warrior, but because he is so small and girly he doesn’t go by it because people make fun. Everyone is all quite and awkward at this revelation. Then Sachiko, while backlight in white looking like an angel, proceeds to tell him what a lovely name Alice is and that it suits him perfectly. Alice, then overwhelmed with emotion rushes to hug Sachiko (which is hilarious because that panicked look comes to her eyes immediately) and tells her that he was given a boys name by mistake wishes he had been born a girl so that he could have gone to Lilian and been Sachiko’s petite soeur. Yumi hears this and is not pleased however, and goes over and pees on Sachiko marking her territory… um, I mean grabs Sachiko back telling Alice that Sachiko is hers and she WILL NOT share her.

When Yumi has freed Sachiko from Alice’s clutches, we see that Sachiko is sweating and was completely freaked out at being hugged by a boy, and Yumi comforts her for bravely enduring it by placing her head on Sachiko’s shoulder and hugging her tenderly. I am NOT joking.

Yumi says that she and Alice can be friends though, as long has he keeps his hands off of her woman, and everyone is happy.

Then some other stuff happens like Yumi finds out that Yuuki is the Hanadera council president, and Yumi ponders flowers or something … but whatever, its boring next to the fact that Yumi and Sachiko and totally gay for each.

I want more! I need more! More, more, more!
