Hee. Glad to share the animated les!yay. I love Marimite more better (I'm sorry, a friend has been using this phrase for like two weeks now and its stuck in my head!) that SP too.
SP was great anime, yuri, light, totally gay les!yay, but Marimite is just so darn cute, and the characters are so much more developed and the relationships fleshed out that its just a more well-rounded viewing experience.
Like in SP I always got why Nagisa love Shizuma (cause Shizuma was freaking hot and had the best hair ever), but for like half of the series I never got why Shizuma was so ga-ga/predatorially obsessed with Nagisa. Where as Sachiko/Yumi click on so many levels and I totally understand their love :D
Also, I love Rei way more than Amane (Rei = Best Tomboy Ever), and Aname/Hikari also kind of freaked me out since Hikari seemed sooo young, whereas Rei/Yoshino are on much more equal footing.
was it me or did you feel like that that thing yoshino said about her and rei being the "real thing" a blatant admission that they're more than just cuzzins??
Speaking of Rei/Yoshino ... I totally did! In fact, I had forgotten about Yumi "pretty much" so when Yoshino busted out with "we're the real thing", I was like did she just out them? And if she did, why is everyone cheering? lol.
Anyway, I took the mention of Kashiwagi being Sachiko's finance and cousin, to also be a shout-out to the Rei/Yoshino love, letting the audience know that kissing cousins is totally cool in Marimite land. I mean, how old married couple was their spat over Yoshino following Rei around? Way cute!
hmm...i hope the 3rd one comes out soon...cuz...you know..yumi and sachiko are sooo gay for each other...;)
I know! The wait between the OVAs is killing me. Especially cause I watched season 1 and 2 back to back over the course of like a week. So having to wait for my Yumiko fix is painful. I'm guessing it's probably going to be another couple of months :( I don't know what I'm going to do if they don't realease anymore after the third OVA. *wriggles hands fretfully*
P.S. I've finally started reading Ex Machina and I'm loving it! I've read vol. 1 and I just went and got vol. 2, 3, and 4 yesterday :D
