murasaki200 I just watched the trailer for a new scifi show called Sancturary and ... geekgasm!
Sanctuary is an upcoming Science fiction television program to be aired on the Internet, with a scheduled premiere date of May 2007. The program stars Amanda Tapping and a bunch of other people I've never heard of and nobody would really pay attention to anyway after reading "Amanada Tapping" so I won't waste your time.
Plot summary: Amanda Tapping stars as 157 year old Dr. Helen Magnus, one of the first female doctors in the Royal College during Victorian England. She was engaged to Jack the Ripper, and also has a daughter by him, Ashley. However, Ashley does not yet know that Jack is her father. Dr. Magnus' father started a sanctuary for supernatural creatures, collected from all over the world. In her work with these creatures, Dr. Magnus has received age longevity. The show is said to have a feel similar to Batman Begins.
The show also stars a whole bunch of Vancouver!Actors which makes my geeky heart abound with joy.

Also Amanda Tapping is totally hot as a brunette. That is all.

Painkiller Jane, Sarah O'Connor and now this!?! Is it Spring yet? (yes, I know it's officially spring but.. you know what I mean!!)
I know! It's like TV finally got the threatening letters written in blood that I sent it and decided to meet my demands. If TV decides to cancel these shows however, the letters are going to continue *glares menacingly at TV and then hugs "Dark Angel" and "Birds of Prey" DVDs/tapes*

And it makes me want to go out and buy a bigger TV so I'm able to watch the violent hotness properly.
I know! A co-worker was bragging about her huge TV today. I totally should have punched her in the face for it. *imagines Kristanna, and Lena on a wall mounted plasma screen ... mmmm*

That would be evil incarnate. Seriously, if I found out who was in charge of programming for the networks I would hunt them down and shower them with holy water because they would have to be part of the some apocalyptic cult of incredible evil to do that to viewers.
I guessing the networks will be careful not to have them run against each other though. At least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself because anything else is too horrible to contemplate.
