BTW, you should totally check out the show. The pilot's so-so, but it picks up in the second episode, and the show's really starting to hit it's stride now. Both Nikita and Alex are amazing on their own, and together. Honestly, I feel like Alex is how Rachel Morgan is supposed to come across, on Alex is that type of character done right.

She really is, isn't she? She's glorious. She is and always will be my mental Ivy. There are so many times watching the show that I'm like, "That's so Ivy" when Nikita does something particularly sexy and badass and/or incredibly sweet and protective.

Sadly, I think I honestly am through reading the series. I think I'll probably still read people's reviews because my masochistic tendencies have not completely disappeared, but when I tried to read these advanced chapters I honestly could not dredge up an ounce of care. Chapter 12, really cemented it for me, because it's the type of playful scene that I used to love back in the day, but I just was vaguely annoyed the whole time I was attempting to read it. There was really no reason for me to be annoyed, it was an amusing scene, but I just didn't care.
