Gossip Girl - 1x05 - "Dare Devil"

As I said in my post last night, this show should totally be called "OMG I LOVE BLAIR" because I totally do. Even though she was being totally evil, and childish and petty this episode, she was so undeniable joyful and entertaining about it that I can't not love her.

Things to love about Blair this episode:
- Having a rack of fabulous clothes dedication to Serena
- The replacement list
- Constantly calling Jenny "Little Jenny"
- Lounging on that table like Queen Bitch as her adoring harem fawns over her.
- Making her invitation to Jenny sound like a come-on.
- Telling Jenny that they play Truth or Dare differently and then the panning shot to Isabelle and Kati kissing while Blair grins madly and triumphantly in the background pressed against Jenny.
- Blair's 'drug addled whore' look and act. When she was listing off those pills I nearly died. The lipstick smeared all over her face just made it that much more hilarious.
- Stealing that guys cell.
- Her 'ugh' when someone said she kissed that guy.
- "I was talking to Eric."

Other Things I Liked:

- I also have to say that I really LOVED Dan this episode. He was completely hilarious. That babbling rant he went on in front of Lily made tears form in my eyes. "When I was little my mother always said I didn't meet a word I didn't like", lol.

- Rufus's hair actually look good!

- Serena manhandling that guy when he went after Blair (aw, so romantic). Not to mention her cute little smile when Blair was all "I was talking to Eric!"

- The picture Eric sent to Jenny. And this exhange:
Eric: It's nice to be out after dark talking to people who aren't you and mom ... even if it is Blair. No offense.
Blair: (smiling happily) None taken.

- Jenny is LOVE. That cover story at the end was great. Not to mention her sassy meeting with Blair. Blair bettah watch out, I see a new queen bee in the making. You also gotta love Leighton for having chemistry with like every female she's on screen with. The way she was smiling at Jenny at the end made my Waldsen loving heart whimper. I'm totally not gonna ship Jenny/Blair though cause Taylor is 14 and that creeps me out (also, we all know that Waldsen is true love).

Things I Didn't Like

- Nothing!

- Lord help me, Dan and Serena's date was actually really cute.

- And Blake's delivery of "Something's vibrating in your pants and I really hope it's your cell phone" was unbelievably cute and sexy.

To conclude:

OH Gossip Girl previews, you giveth and you taketh away. Waldsen better be curled up in bed together at the END of this episode just like at the BEGINNING! I do not want this "Jenny is mistaken for Serena" at the masquerade ball and cause DRAMA thing to carry on past this episode! My girls better still be BFFs at the end. That is all.

This ep was so full of win, even without all the Waldsen.

When she was listing off those pills I nearly died.

Gotta love Blair. My fave was "Diazapam. Lorazapam. All the Pams, really. You know, I don't discriminate!"

Pretty much every scene was golden in this ep. I love that Blair breaking Eric out made Lily realize how much she was actually hurting him by keeping him there.

Serena manhandling that guy when he went after Blair (aw, so romantic). Not to mention her cute little smile when Blair was all "I was talking to Eric!"

They had to figure out a way to give us just a bit of Waldsen. And I will take what I can get!!!

I will admit, D/S was semi adorable, but the kiss was too much. Seriously, it reminded me of the Harry/Cho kiss in the last HP movie, where after about the 3rd angle, everyone in the the theatre was groaning.

The CW did not give me any previews :( I want to see Waldsen all snuggled up in bed together!

...and now I'm off to finish my post-ep fic.

Aw, I kind of liked Jenny for standing up to Blair's shit. I love my fabulously bitchy Blair, but she had it coming.

Also, I think that Blair appreciates the challenge. I'm looking forward to the power struggle. Jenny got lucky this episode, but Blair is a master and I'm sure she'll put Jenny in her place soon.

Plus, the smile that Blair gave as Jenny walked away was totally worth everything, but it was so awesomely pretty.

Serena getting all physical to defend Blair was pure love though. Damn, Serena's hot when she's all Butch and "touch my girl and die!"

Okay I posted some things I really liked about this and it proved once again where Waldsen is concerned that great minds think alike.

But you guys are forgetting another little Waldsen moment...when Blair is looking at Serena and she tell her "Remember S? the most important night of the year?" (or something like that) God! that look was so, SO sexy.

And I like Dan but agree, the kiss was too much for my loyal Waldsen heart LoL...nah, the date was ok and actually he was charming and cute.

But the best was Serena defending Blair. So adorable. And wth with the waiting list? LoL that was hilarious. Oh Blair-bear, you're the cuteness walking.

Matthew Settle is sex-ay. I watched the movie "The In Crowd" simply for his hottness (okay, Susan Ward might have had something to do with it!). But Rufus's hair was KILLING me. Now that it's tamed I can enjoy Matt's good looks again :D

And I totally haven't missed Nate. It's too bad he has to come back :(

Yeah, I have to say, Leighton totally pwned this episode. From the opening scene Blair ruled this episode. My god, I love Blair so much. Leighton does a great job make Blair like totally cute even when she's being completely evil.

Also, Chace is the actor I spend the most time really trying to decide if I find him attractive or kind of moppet-y. I may be in the minority here but I think he's way cuter with the hair slicked back. He looks less like Ian Somerhalder's squinty-eyed younger brother. Seriously, there are some BROWS on this show with him and Ed on the scene.
