Oh I was on the Krista/Chase train too. I just don't like to bring it up as much because its like a bad break-up, I'm still not over it.
I know what you mean. The wound is still so fresh. I still can't comprehend how SpikeTV took that show away from me. I totally fell so in love with it, and it was so much better than it had any right to be and Krista and Chase were so ... *begins to weep anew* I'm never watching SpikeTV again, I swore that when it was canceled and I've kept my promise (so much easier than boycotting Fox which keeps on producing good things).
At least Angie has Women's Murder Club now with the lovely, Daisy Adair, I mean Laura Harris. So we still have the pretty just on different shows.
Yeah, I like Women's Murder Club, and I adore the Lyndsey/Jill and Lindsey/Cindy femslash potential. Angie Harmon may be straight, but she has WAY more chemistry with her female co-stars than her male co-stars. It's ridiculously awesome.
Also, I just watched a slightly fragmenty copy of Secrets of A Small Town, and while I liked the pilot a lot actually, it's one of those shows that I feel like it would've started to suck after the first season mystery was solved. Whereas Women's Murder Club has a premise that's good for multiple seasons.
I think the first time I ever saw Leighton, was on an episode of House and she was a blond and I'm ashamed to say, she never really caught my eye.
I have to say that I'm deeply disappointed with myself because the only things I remember her from from before GG was Tarzan and 24, and I hated her on both. I remember thinking that she was the worst thing ever on Tarzan, and mocked her endlessly on 24. And now I love her more than I have words for. I guess our tastes really do become more refined as we grow older ;)
Yeah I realized that the torrent I had wasn't busted, it was just that I have no patience and was being all demanding for a Leighton fix. And now I'm paying for it because, mine got stuck at 95%
Yeah, fine got up to 95% and is stuck there now too, but I watched that 95%. It was slightly splotchy in parts, but definitely viewable.
I really liked the pilot. Leighton wasn't it in as much as I would have liked, but given the end I think her role would have gotten bigger in following episodes.
I was also really impressed with the cast. It was a total "Hey It's That Guy/Girl" cast. I mean there was Angie Harmon and Leighton of course. But Matthew Settle was also in it, Sean Patrick Flanery was there too, Matt Long, Denise Richards (wtf?) was in it, Samantha Mathis, Tyler Christopher, and Jack's Dad from Lost, and Jamie's sister from the Bionic Woman. Ca-RA-zee.
Also, there was potential femslash pairings all over the place. I'm sad for the demise of this show simply because of all of the femslash it could have inspired. There was:
Still, I'm happier with Angie and WMC and Leighton on GG. Blair is so much more brunette and fabulous than Kyla could have hoped to be, although Leighton does look good in a cheer-leading uniform.
When are they going to give her a movie?
I know! They're contemplating another He-Man one, yet nothing for She-Ra. I don't know, in a way maybe it's best they don't, I could see it sucking hardcore and I'd rather not taint my memory of the show. But at the same time, live action She-Ra is so tempting ...

Kyla/Kelly/Brenda (Leighton/Denise) step!daughters!step!mother potential
Kyla/Kelly/Tish (Leighton/Lucy Hale) cheerleader sexy potential
Bethany/Samantha (Angie/Samantha) sister my sister potential
And this was just the PILOT!
*le sigh*
