I'm one of those few people who doesn't like BSG, but I love Michelle Forbes, *or shall I say Ensign Roe...cuz that's who she'll always be to me*...so that was pretty much the reason why I watched Razor. Imagine my surprise when Stephanie Chaves-Jacobsen walked onto my screen!! *swoons* The woman is a banger fo' sho'. But I digress. Kendra was a great character and I attribute most of that to Jacobsen, because she sold it. As I watched I was reminded why I don't watch the show, the characters bore me. They feel like pale versions of people I've seen many times before and I get nothing new from them. I preferred the original Pegasus crew and found them a lot more interesting, a lot more grayer. I agree w/ trance, I wish they did a little more w/ Cain, instead of pretty much portraying her as a "woman scorned, see her fury" cliche. She was a lot more complex than that and I think that was what we were suppose to see that through Kendra's eyes. They should have given her character a few more shades for the audience to see. Hell, if they made a show that revolved around her and that crew, I would watch that. I would love to see how a crew would function knowing that their commanding officer was capable of the things that Cain was capable of and did.
I have to admit that it was well done in terms of the storytelling. I like they way they wove the flashbacks into the main story, especially because we got to see those great close ups of Stephanie's gorgeous face. *grins*
