OMG! I love this show. Love it. I don't know how or why I fell behind watching it, but I NEVER WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN!
Blair Waldorf continues to own my soul. Seriously. The interview process for the projects vs. the victims. Her handling of the Marcus/Dutchess situation and how she pwned Vanessa's meddling ass. The My Fair Lady dream sequence (soooo brilliant!), and then her rant at Serena about Brown ("you could as well get your hair dreaded when you're down there", lol)
And I am so glad Serena and Dan are over. My enjoyment of the show has increased exponentially since they broke up. They were such dead weight. Lord Marcus and the Dutchess being gone (and the return of Lily and her awesome self) certainly has only made things better. I like my core crew thank you very much!
Speaking of which, Serena is pretty fierce as a bitch. When she was all posing at the bar for that Lacrosse player, I was like "Damn, Blake. Work it gurl!" Seriously hot. I also enjoyed her hbic walks with the lemmings through Constance Billard. The only thing I didn't like about Bitch!Serena was her fighting with Blair (though I have to say, Blair played just as much a part in that as Serena did. I like that they didn't just demonize Serena, but showed her being concerned for Blair's feelings before Blair started verbally smacking her down forcing her to react).
And fuck if Jenny hasn't grown on me. Jenny and Eleanor are an awesome team.
Dan is much more tolerable when he's not around Serena. I'm not gonna say likable, but I don't want to gouge my eyes out when I see him anymore. The fact that people keep calling him on his bullshit and he's been getting like comeupance after comeupance certainly didn't hurt.
But my absolute favoritest part of the last few episodes was the fight/make-up scene between Serena and Blair. Seriously, those two ARE SO GAY FOR EACH OTHER! Their break-up and get together was about a gagillion times more effecting that anything Serena and Dan were ever capable of. They so clearly NEED each other. As hot as the catfight was, Serena wrapping her arm around Blair and then kissing Blair's ridiculous hat was the like the sexiest thing ever. You know she loves that girl when she's willing to walk around in public with her in that getup Blair was wearing (WHAT WAS THAT? Usually Blair is impeccably dressed, but she looked like a hot mess there. I like to think it's because she was so distraught over her break-up with Serena that she just picked out any old thing from the suitcase).
Serena offering to turn down Yale, and Blair telling her not to just sealed their love for me. OMG I LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER. THERE LOVE IS GOD *goes to get a Slushie*
I also loved the Blair/Dorota scenes. Dorota is such a good surrogate mother, and Blair is so girlish and cute with her.
Also, I continue to LOVECharlie Trout Chuck Bass. Ed Westwick is so good. He's the male Leighton Meester. They're both just pitch perfect all the time. I also loved how much he looked like a vampire in that first bar scene with Dan. Vampire!Chuck is hot.
In conclusion, Gossip Girl FTW!
