Is it ok if I (not so secretly) worship you? Because I wouldn't be watching Gossip Girl without your commentry. It's like half of the show.
I'm surprised that so many loathe Dan, he's like the gay guy's (if I was one) dream. Deliciously morally stuck-up. I love him, even with all his faults. Also, don't remember which ep, but he had quite strong subtext with Chuck. It was the phone call where he asked about Serena's whereabouts. Opposites attract and Chuck/Dan really fits that pattern.
There haven't been so many scenes with those guys together. The screen would melt of too much hotness?
Of course there's the tiny detail that Chuck tried to rape Dan's little sister (ouch). But IMHO that's the only thing keeping them apart.
For supposedly being infatuated/in love with Serena for so long, Dan is very nonchalant about them breaking up, that's for sure. Perhaps he is just so gay and hasn't yet noticed. It seems to me more like he's been in love with the idea of being in love, not Serena.
Am I totally crazy? Because most of the time I won't see subtext unless it hits me in the face with a sledgehammer.
