Screw actually reading the books
This is a very, very smart idea. They are extremely frustrating, and there's like 100% more Edward (being a douchebag) in them. Seriously, his romance with Bella in the books is one of the worst things I have ever read. They are nauseating together. And I'm not just being a hater cause I love Alice. I actually really liked Jacob and Bella together. Edward and Bella are just unbearable however. It's like Anderson Cooper's rant about "Living Lohan" ... we're just stuck with this atrocious couple!
That way I won't be dissapointed when there's no actual femslashy goodness in the original text
They're not gay, gay. But I Stephanie Meyer did unconsciously make Bella and Alice's interactions pretty gay in the books. Alice is always kissing Bella's cheek, and Bella is always going on about how beautiful Alice is. Bella says she loves Alice at one point, and Alice routinely carries Bella in her arms and cradles Bella in her lap. And they hug, a lot.
However, you're better off just reading "The Visitor" chapter in "New Moon" and you can save yourself the endless hours of torture that reading the whole book(s) would be.
