seeing as tho i am not familiar with anything twilight aside from this story, how come alice doesnt remember being human? is that a vampire thing? or did it have something to do with how she came to be?
She remembers one thing about being human, darkness, nothing else. We learn that it's because she was put into a sanitarium before she died because of her visions of the future. Her parents thought she was crazy and locked her away. Being in the dark, alone for so long kind of traumatized her, and she probably repressed the memories after she was turned.
I think (I can't remember if it's stated or not), that that's the reason Alice is the most chipper of the vampires. She doesn't remember what she's missing, so she doesn't hate being a vampire as much as the others.
That's also why her hair is short as a vampire, because it was shaved when she was in the sanitarium and was just growing back when she was turned into a vampire.
