Heroes - 3x03 - One Of Us, One Of Them

Definitely better then the premiere episodes.  I actually stopped using the computer and paid attention to this one.

Very interested in what's going on with Tracey.  I really and truly believed that she was Niki just suffering from being taken over by another personality (you know that the bomb blast just traumatized her so much a new personality popped up), though her being Niki's twin/clone does explain how she was so established in her job in such a short period of time.

I like Tracey's power (mostly because it keeps on reminding me of Emma Frost ... and yes, I know Emma doesn't actually freeze things, but her name is Frost and so it reminds me off it okay!  OKAY!  Leave me alone!  Stop picking on me, you mean lovin' meanies!)

The scene with Micah also really got to me.  That poor kid.  I don't know, I hope in some way that Niki's not really dead or something.  That kids been through enough, he doesn't need to lose his mom too.  *sniffs*  Poor Micah.

Angela Petrelli is a scary mofo.  Seriously.  I can't believe she gave her hot assistant to Sylar so that he could probe her brain.  I was like, Angela you pimp, and then Sylar was all washing blood off his hands and I was like "Note to self, RUN AWAY after letting Angela take me behind by middle school".  Jeez.

Still not a huge fan of the Gabriel Petrelli thing though.

Enjoyed Claire and Pyra (I forget what bio-mom's name is).  Pyra was kind of badass in the crate thing.  And I get changed!her!diapers mom territorialness, but Pyra was right about smothering her just being the quickest way to chase Claire away.  Then again, Pyra didn't help her case with her 'just be a 17 year old girl' chat.  Claire was already plotting during that hug (also, way to come off as a complete creeper in that scene Hayden.  She was freaking me out for the whole thing.  I thought she was gonna take Pyra out or something)

Peter's free.  Whatever.

I continue to be over Hiro and paid next to no attention to what was going on with him, so that whole storyline remains like 95% a mystery to me.

I'm definitely glad to see things that things improved from last week.

Oh, yeah.  Parkman was in it.  See comments about Hiro for my thoughts on that.

The scene with Micah also really got to me.

That scene, and Olga Sosonovka's cameo, was *just* enough to keep me going for another week. At least we got some closure (*sniffle* R.I.P. Niki) but it sucks that there'll be no more Micah, or Monica apparently. And don't get me started on killing off Francis Capra after only three friggin' episodes. Oh why couldn't it have been Peter instead.

Jesus case, at this point, *I'd* make a better parent than any of these knuckleheads. No, Claire can't go out and save the world right now, doesn't mean she can't learn how to friggin' DEFEND HERSELF! Because, as Claire pointed out, being a 'normal teenaged girl' has worked out so well for her.

It's just, at this point, I just hate *way* too many of the characters TPTB are obviously too in love with to kill, ie, Peter, Sylar, Matt (seriously, why is Matt still alive?). That and the complete stupidity of too many other characters - Claire, Hiro, Mohinder, hell, I'll even throw in Angela. I'm just having a hard time reconciling that the reasons why I fell in love with the show in the first place, the anticipation of what Heroes was going to be and what TPTB produce* are going to be two completely separate things.. and never the twain shall meet.

*Seriously, with such a large ensemble cast, a universe of powers to explore, I wish the PTB would get the memo that it doesn't have to be ALL ABOUT PETER!! Of course, I'll take it all back if Mr. Bennett actually kills Sylar.. and the mofo *stays* dead.

I loved this episode. Especially since I just got the local channels on my cable, so I got a decent picture.

Oh, I know, right? That was heart wrenching. And... since I couldn't see or hear anything last week, I had no idea Nikki was dead, so... Needless to say, I was surprised.

Yeah... I loved the crate thing, but that pretty much ruined it. She's supposed to be a rebel, or something, isn't she? I mean, she was living in a freakin' trailer park. *shrugs* Anyway... I also sympathize about Parkman and Hiro. They're not quite what they could be. Although, I'm pretty sure that one painting depicted him as having a baby with the speedster. THAT'D be cool.
