I could see why they left out the 'Alice picking Bella up and running with her' part because it would look funny on screen. But I was pissed they cut out the scene in the hotel in Phoenix.
Did you catch the part after Alice wrapped her arm around Bella and said "I'll protect Bella", Edward said "Keep your thoughts to yourself"?? I was like "OMFGWTFBBQHAXSEXMOAR??"
I did catch that, and I thought THE SAME THING! I was like, Edward's been picking up on Alice's smexy thoughts about Bells. Alice looked kind of chagrined too, and I love that she still wrapped her arm around Bella despite that.
I'm glad that we got to see Alice tending to Bella in the ballet studio, and the sniffing of Bella's blood was a great moment (and totally enables a subtextual reading of it)
Victoria, indeed, was much moar UNF!-worthy than expected. I hated her in the books, but...jeez.
Yeah, she was kind of 'meh' in the books. But Rachelle really brought her to life. She was just so wild and feral. I loved it. Her woman scorned look and walk of 'bitch you DEAD" at the end was so much win. UNF! There definitely needs to be moar Victoria in the next movie (the fact that they added more of her in this one makes me hopeful there will be)
