and wow, that book is so full of femslash that I am surprised that they really don't get together over the course of 6? books.
I know, it seems kind of impossible doesn't it. Yet somehow Kim finds a way (which mostly revolves around Rachel being a horn dog in all the other books. I mean it's hinted at in Book 1 with her drooling over Trent even as a mink - really Rachel, really? - but it gets much worse once she actually gets a boyfriend. *sigh*)
The femslash doesn't go away, in fact it gets even steamier than in the first book at points, but Rachel's gay-panic and staggering capacity for self-denial has kept Rachel/Ivy from truly happening.
Ivy is more ... elusive? much more complex.
This is a really good description of Ivy. She is very elusive and very complex. You never quite know how she is going to react to situations.
