I really wondered if this is how the dolls act when they're not on a mission. Perhaps it is, but it almost seems like Echo has no character at all which is distracting.

I'm really curious about what the Dolls are like in the house as well. I mean, I think they've got to retain some knowledge after the wipes. They seem to have a sense of routine, and know who the various house staff is. And like, how annoying would it be to have to show 20+ Dolls where the washroom was everyday, or after every wipe. LESS MISSIONS MOAR DOLLHOUSE!

How can any lasting mature relationship be possible when she is so carefree and without any forethough. It is a good base to do character development on, though.

Right now this is the sticking point for Dollhouse femslash for me. Echo/Claire is destined to be heartbreaking for Claire, because the person Claire loves (or think she loves) isn't really there. And any personality Echo starts to form, will get wiped after her next mission. It's the ship of angst and pain (with moments of intense sweetness) right now.

Finding her own personality might just be what one of the major story arcs in the series is all about.

This. It's going to be really interesting watching Echo come into her own.
