Fantastic! from the moment I first saw claire's scars, I had this idea that she had been programmed to be who she was... my thought was that she was a doll that got injured in the course of duty and so retired, which was quickly disproved last week. or well sorta... it could still almost work just instead of it being duty it was alpha... and they added him into her new program (I've been trying to figure out how it would work in my head... not really there yet)

I really love your take on this idea (I mean... after this gem why would I bother attempting my own?). The more I see Claire, the more I think she must have been programed in some way. Her emotions seem far too conflicting regarding the dollhouse and what they do. At one end she dislikes the whole conscept but then has this undeniable loyalty to the house. you encompassed all of this and added a tangible connection - her loyalty to her handler - to help drive her.

You managed to perfectly write the potential realisation of what was happening. Her knowledge of the procedures and an unknown circumstance combining to unlock fragments of memory.

I found Adelle's affection towards claire touching, very remeniscent of Boyde and Echo... perhaps that's why she lets them get away with so much. Well that and all the money Echo makes her ;)
