I've never heard of 'Kings' before...is it a new show?
Yeah, it's a new show (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1137462/). Only three episodes in, so you don't have much to catch up on. I started watching for Susanna Thompson (Queen Rose), but the show as a whole is great. Thomasina is amazing. Watch for her. She doesn't have a large role right now, but the actress is doing an amazing job.
