This. Skimmer wasn't perfect before, but she had redeemable characters, namely her love for Ivy, and the fact that she was actually willing to fight for her.
She loved Ivy, damn it, and even after getting in prison for her, she realized that Ivy was always going to care for Rachel who, in her oppinion, doesn't give a shit about Ivy.
This has got to be especially hard to deal with. If Rachel and Ivy were happy as clams and sexin' like bunnies, Skimmer would probably have been like "Well, fuuuuuuck" and backed off. But the Rachel/Ivy situation is kind of fucked up right now, with some sweet moments that eventually lead to things being fucked up again.
Skimmer found so much beauty in the fact that Ivy was a vampire, in the mixing of blood and sex, and Rachel seemed to want Ivy to fix herself to fit Rachel's definitions of morals. I don't know if that made a bit of sense, but it was like: Don't mix sex and blood because I'm not comfortable with it; find some way to shackle your hunger because of what I want because it's the only way it's going to work.
THIS! OMG THIS! It's bugging me so much. Piscary fucked Ivy up, yes. And she DOES have issues to work through. But trying to change who she is genetically is ridiculous. Her reaction to feeding after having her aura stripped shows that drinking blood SHOULD be a part of her life. She needs it to really feel healthy. RACHEL IS THE ONE SCREWING HER UP EVEN MORE by making her think that there's something wrong for her need for blood. She's a freaking vampire, there isn't! Rachel needs to let Ivy bite her and feed off of her in the same way every other freaking vampire in the world feeds, and Rachel needs to shut the fuck up.
I get Ivy hating being a vampire because of losing her soul. But she even said that she likes the rest of being a vampire, and if she was with someone who didn't make her feel like a dirty whore for feeding, she'd probably be fine with that part too (and yes, I think Rachel's judgey McJudgerson routine when Ivy was with Skimmer, made Ivy feel badly about the relationship)

I would so love to see Rachel deal with her shunning, to learn to live by her own moral code and not have Pierce ride in and save her.
