If it had ended after a page of him appearing, it wouldn't have been soon enough.
Truth: You're speaking it!
comparing just about everyone she's ever dated up to a long lost memory of a guy who was SO IMPORTANT THAT SHE DIDN'T REMEMBER HIM UNTIL BOOK SEVEN
Well, apparently he's mentioned in Kim's anthology short stories, but it's still fuckery. Most of the audience hasn't read those, so Pierce literally came out of nowhere. And I know for sure that I'm not reading the short story where he showed up EVER because I HATE him.
Cock Block probably doesn't even realize that she totally wrote Ivy as the one person in Rachel's life who has definitely made it past the wtf!Pierce-standard. She's head over heels for Rachel and she's so dangerous that nearly every interaction with her gets Rachel's adrenaline running. Their relationship doesn't even need crazy adventure into the ever-after, banshee-fighting, and werewolves.
You've summed up why Rachel and Ivy work together so well here. Ivy is flawed, but she is the ULTIMATE Rachel-candy. Ivy is the one who is perfect for Rachel. Rachel moans never being able to find a man who can deal with her life, but she has already found a fucking gorgeous, selfless, dreamy woman who IS dealing with her life, and is an important part of it - not some side dish of little relevance.
The fact that Cock Block expects us (and Rachel) to keep ignoring this is ridiculous. And if we're not supposed to be ignoring it, if we're supposed to see how perfect they are THEN STOP DICKING ABOUT! Get them together, tie up the lose ends in the over-all plot and END THE FUCKING SERIES!
He is breaking the series for me. He might just be the last straw placed on this book!ship before it sinks. Unless she gets rid of him. Soon.
Yeah. If he's major part of the next book I probably won't read it. I'll try and get people to tell me which pages I need to read for Ravy (ex. 34-45, 90-112, etc) and then not bother with the rest. I really, really hate him. I disliked Marshall, but I LOATH Pierce. I can't handle more of him.
