I'm honestly going give cranking out an honest to god novel a go while I'm off this summer though.

True facts. I'd say writing is the easier part. Finding an agent to sell your work to a publisher is really really hard, especially for a new writer.
but goddamn she's managed to get a lot of words down on paper, lol.
Quality over quantity I always say. Plus a lot of times they don't like thick manuscripts for new authors, won't even look at them. It costs more for them to make if it’s longer, and it's a risk because they don't know if new authors will sell. At least that's what my grandma says. She is published, and worked at a publishing house too.
It still amazes me that SMeyer even got published, her writing is awful and the story is mediocre and contrived. Which is why most of the twilight film is dubbed over with music lol.
You know, unconsciously I think it did. I loved the hell out of that story, and after I read this comment when I went back and read the last paragraph of it again, I was like, "Yeah, it probably planted a kernel in my subconscious" and my handcuff p0rn came out of that, lol.
