It has been a productive year for you indeed, and we've been lucky enough to wreap the rewards.

Any chances of any more Ivy/Skimmer or The World Unseen fic in 2010, do you think? The World Unseen was one of the best things I read this year, so thanks again for introducing me to it; it's such a small fandom, which really mystifies me. Hopefully, it'll grow a bit in 2010!

Your fics have been the one reason I do check my lj at least once a week despite my growing apathy with LJ and that all my friends are now facebookers.

Awesome awesome work. Thanks gracing us with your creativity.

Would love to see you do Hel/Trixie or Morgana/Morguse

Well, I'm not complaining. And you know, new year and stuff maybe it'll bring you close to new pairings as well *means Rachel/Quinn from Glee* I mean, a fandom lacking Janine's fiction isn't really a fandom hehehe.

Thanks for all the awesome-tastic work! :)

Hell yeah you were productive!

and finally The Edge was completed in 2009 Ahhhh, The Edge. My heart still goes pitter patter when I think of that story. Is it weird that a fan fic about a book I hate is my fave of all time? I suppose not, seeing as it spawned some rocking inside jokes (Edward Cullen=DMB fan) and the best comments section to ever grace LJ... *sigh* Let's do it again in '10! ;)

I have to agree with the few people who wish for more Hollows stories. =) but can't force the muse, I know. Thanks for being so productive and sharing. It feels almost criminal to read some of your best writing for free. Here's for the year 2010 *raises a glass of orange juice*

Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I'm not a member of Live Journal but I try to check it frequently so I don't miss any of your stories. Reading your Ivy/Rachel fics got me addicted to your work. I think I might need to join a support group if you don't write more Ravy soon! I'm going through withdrawal. Hopefully next months release of Black Magic Sanction will inspire you to write more Ravy. I'm actually kind of reluctant to read the new book because your stories are so much better than Kim Harrison's teasing.

I wanted to say that the entire reason I started to read The Hollows series is because of your fiction. Your writing is so good that I'm beginning to suspect that you're a novelist. As the person above me said, I hope that you will continue to write more Ravy fics b/c Kim Harrison is so frustrating. Actually reading a fic where the two characters get together makes reading Kim Harrison's books manageable. Happy New Year, and I hope it's a good year for you.

Any chances of any more Ivy/Skimmer or The World Unseen fic in 2010, do you think?

After I torture myself and read the new book that comes out in March, I'll probably get back into writing Hollows fic. Ivy/Skimmer I'm not sure about this Kim totally effed Skimmer over in last book.

As for The World Unseen, I don't know. If I re-watch the movie or re-read the book, I may be inspired again.

The World Unseen was one of the best things I read this year, so thanks again for introducing me to it; it's such a small fandom, which really mystifies me.

I loved it as well. Both the movie and especially the book really moved me. I was completely obsessed with it for a while, and still love it. I devoured that book. And it does pain me that the fandom is so small. Movies and non-series books tend to get screwed over in fandom though (I understand why, it just sucks *le sigh*).

It didn't feel like that long to me either 0_o. I guess I kind of burned out on them with the material that I had been given so far. After I torture myself reading the next book I'll probably start writing them again.

I'm hoping the new year will bring new fandoms. I don't think I'm going to hoping on the Rachel/Quinn wagon though, for Glee fic in general. I watch the show for the musical numbers mostly, I don't really like or get most of the characters. And though I LOVE Lea Michelle's voice, Rachel annoys the hell out of me!

*turns head and prepares to be pelted with rotten fruit*

Is it weird that a fan fic about a book I hate is my fave of all time?

I don't think so. I mean I wrote the longest story I've ever written about a book series that I CAN'T STAND! So if I can write novel length fic about it, there's no reason you shouldn't read novel length fic about it, lol.

I suppose not, seeing as it spawned some rocking inside jokes (Edward Cullen=DMB fan) and the best comments section to ever grace LJ... *sigh* Let's do it again in '10! ;)

You're a braver woman than I if you can put yourself through book 8. I'll browse reviews and fandom oppinions, and if it looks like there's yummy Ravy, I'll probably pick it up.. but I'm getting thoroughly fed up of the whole thing, to be honest. At this point, I almost want Rachel to get her damn picket fence and whatever supremely idiotic male specimen Kim decides to put with her, just so Ivy can move on and find someone who'll make her happy, instead of just dragging her down in to the abyss yet again.

And Skimmer.. I was just about foaming when I read that scene.. If it'll cause some sort of character development that we can see in later books, maybe I'll enjoy or at least understand it, but if it was merely a device to rid herself of an inconvenient character.. sloppiness beyond belief, with a bit of character 360 thrown in for good measure.

And yeah, I completely agree about non series books, or series that aren't that widely popular for that matter, getting screwed over in fandom. Conversely, it seems that the people who take the time to write for them are most often top quality writers, so it's rather a skewed tradeoff, if you catch my drift. Overall, though, I'd rather have quality over quantity, which means I'm usually contented; of course the bubble bursts when I've reread my favorite fics loads of times, and there's very little new matterial being published.

I'm actually kind of reluctant to read the new book because your stories are so much better than Kim Harrison's teasing.

lol! I'm kind of reluctant to read it too because I know that it's probably gonna make me rant and rave like a crazy person again. She can irritate me so much. But at the same time I really want to write more Ravy, and I'll have to read the book for that to happen *sobs*

I'm sorry about the cock-blocking in the series. I always have to recommend this series with the disclaimer that it will enrage you to the point of kicking, screaming and tearing your hair out. Still, Ivy's awesome ;)

Your writing is so good that I'm beginning to suspect that you're a novelist.

*sigh* I wish!

Oh, I know. Kim, or as I was calling her for a while Cock-Block McGee has inspired levels of fannish rage in me that I have never experienced before. Series extension deals are the devil's work! I miss writing Ravy though, and I know I have to read the new book to get new material if I'm going to write more. Damn her, devil woman. Damn her!

Happy new year!

You're a braver woman than I if you can put yourself through book 8. I'll browse reviews and fandom oppinions, and if it looks like there's yummy Ravy, I'll probably pick it up.

I'm sick, lol. It's the same reason that I've read two Twilight novels. I get so pissed off, but I have some sick fascination with them.

I wish I could quit The Hollows and Cock-Block McGee, but she's sucked me in, and I'll probably finish reading the series *sigh* I'm just going to hate her and myself for it, lol.

At this point, I almost want Rachel to get her damn picket fence ... so Ivy can move on and find someone who'll make her happy, instead of just dragging her down in to the abyss yet again.

Oh, I know. I doubt it's Kim's intention but she's made Rachel really unlikable. To the point where I WANT her to suffer. I really don't think Rachel deserves Ivy after all the shit she's pulled. The only reason I'm rooting for them is because Ivy loves her so much. But yeah, I'm really not looking forward to Ivy being tortured by Rachel's dumb, indecisive ass for another four books. This shit has just been dragged on for TOO long.

And Skimmer.. I was just about foaming when I read that scene..but if it was merely a device to rid herself of an inconvenient character..

I too hope there was some reason for it, but I doubt it. I think the problem was that Skimmer was looking like a viable option for Ivy for a while, so Kim had to get her out of the way. Only Skimmer ruined her whole life to save Ivy (something that Rachel was unwilling to do) so she had to turn Skimmer into a blood-raping bitch to keep Ravy alive. Ooh, the rage ... it buuuurns!

Overall, though, I'd rather have quality over quantity, which means I'm usually contented; of course the bubble bursts when I've reread my favorite fics loads of times, and there's very little new matterial being published.

This. It's like, it's nice when you don't have to wade through tons of crap. But then again, in large fandoms it's nice to have options. I just finished reading the book "Santa Olivia" and I really, really wanted to read fic for it, but there's like none out there. It has a canon OTP lesbian character and there's no fic *sob*

I understand that it's hard to write for things when you're not getting new information though.

I swear to God that Kim is some sort of evil genius.
