What's this chimpmunks plot you speak of? Is it as hilarious as the chicken that's not a chicken plot?
Richard uses chipmunks to help the Mord'Sith learn how to care about other people. They were all predictably (and hilariously) irritated by the whole idea at first, but then they kind of bonded with the chipmunks and started liking feeding them and stuff. When Raina (one of the two lesbian Mord'Sith) dies, she asks to go out and feed 'her' chipmunk on last time. It's all rather touching in the end actually.
Cara would be all grumpy, like, "I don't want to, go to your side", and Kahlan would be all bemused like, "You know you like it. You sleep better when we spoon. Or maybe you'd prefer spooning with Leo?" and Cara's be like, "Just shut up and hold me."
