I think I prefer Leo to Richard but that might just be because Richard once again annoyed the crap out of me. It wasn't even the frying pan to the head subtlety of the one-true-love this time, just the way he acts (character not actor).
Cara and Kahlan were, again, the highpoint of the episode and I love the progress in their relationship. There wasn't enough of them together but what there was, was pure win.
I agree that Cara's smile in front of Leo was out of character but it was rather lovely to see, and even lovelier when Kahlan teased her about it (they've gone from mortal enemies to teasing sleep mates in nine episodes, just imagine where they could be by the end of the season?).
