Writing grumpy!Cara is so much fun. I love her to bits when she's grumpy (which is why I love how amused by her Kahlan is when Cara's grumpy).

as was Kahlan's reaction on waking and seeing how peaceful Cara was

Imagining the look that would be on Bridget's face was incentive enough to write the story!
